Uppercase magazine

The first strong sun in weeks and I enjoyed it by sitting in the window with my latest copy of Uppercase magazine (visit their blog). It's a very inspiring magazine about (graphic) design, a magazine for the creative and curious as is printed on the front cover.

Apart from photography I'm very fond of fonts and paper. This issue has a special on stationery. I haven't reached reading that part yet, but I certainly will soon as I have a dream of publishing my pictures as postcards. And I have no idea how to go about that.

These are my friend's glasses. He leaves them anywhere in his house and then forgets where he put them. They are lovely to watch in the kitchen, where they reflect on the surface.

My friends and I are going to the carnival of Venice in February. So, we are very busy making our costumes. I suggested a light version of our usual complicated costumes, but my friend would hear none of it. Actually, she agreed, but along the way we lost that concept and she designed clothes that look simple, but are still time-consuming to make. But, it's going to be wonderful!
Here is something I saw while cutting the fabric for a vest. It's going to be worn over our corset and underneath our coat and it will have a woollen interlining. Venice in February is cold!
