Em has announced the new BABES!! I have to tell you it was tough picking a winner every week - the sistah's made it very hard on us! Em was happy she didn't have to pick & I don't blame her; many times we were all saying we couldn't pick; they were all too good! BUT the new Babes in da house are - Wendy Bond (bond girl bliss); Cath Groden (paper expressions) and Pauline Godfrey (pauline's card cupboard)
Onto my card for today - I wanted to play along with Jen's SKFYTT this week so I inked up one of Stamping Bella's sweet Turtle Tots. Mr Fix It (which my hubby is not!!) is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics. I paper pieced his tool belt and used a clear glaze pen to the hammer and his tool box. The ds paper is from 3 bugs in a rug called tool time.
This weeks bellariffic Friday's theme is animals - images (like turtle tots), paper, anything with animals goes! Email you cards to Em by Thursday to be included - remember you could win bella bucks!

The Final Week....
of the hunt for a new babe!! Can you believe it's already the end of August?! I'm hoping you have a late fall since we've had no summer!
This weeks challenge was free form - so I decided to ink up one of the new sweet Little Peeps. Little Peeps Birthday Cake is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics. I paper pieced the flowers on the cake and her dress. Along the icing (which I added an extra layer!) I added some glamour dust glitter. The centre of the flowers have tiny rhinestones which I coloured with a copic marker. The ds paper is October Afternoons Fly a Kite. The layout of my card is Mercy's sketch from this week (MTSC88), although I didn't add a flower in the corner.
Make sure you pop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the babes cards & the final week of the sistah's entries - they have been FANTASTIC!! Next weeks Bellariffic Fridays theme is animals - either image, paper or embellishments. Email Em your card by Thursday to be included next week. Also take a peek at this weeks Tantalizing TOOOsday specials!

TGF SFYTT
I {heart} Jen's sketches, but lately I haven't been able to play along until this week! This weeks sponsor is TGF so it was a perfect opportunity to print off one of the digi's I have and play along!
Dressy Ebony digi is printed onto neenah ultra smooth paper & coloured with copics. I printed the image twice so I could paper piece her jacket, hairband & flower. The ds paper is from basic grey's olivia collection. I added some black rhinestones to the centre of the flower and for her necklace.
The smoke has cleared & we actually have some summer like weather (finally) I hope it lasts through the weekend!
Thanks for stopping by ~

Sweet Sunday
I hope you had a great weekend - ours was smokey from the massive forest fires in British Columbia; but finally it's cleared up; I can't imagine how bad it must be right near the fires. I am voiceless from the smoke so I would be a disaster if I was closer!!
Since I was stuck in the house I actually stamped on the weekend!! I played along with Karen G's Sweet Sunday sketch(SSSC82) from today (that never happens!). I inked up Kenya Ketto (when I was in Montreal I saw all the dishes & decorations you can buy with Ketto's on them - CUTE!!) The image is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics. Along the black dots I used black ultra fine glitter. For the centre of the flower and wand I used a black rhinestone. The DS paper is from October Afternoons Fly a Kite line.
Just a reminder this weeks Bellariffic Fridays challenge is FREE FORM. We are still searching for our next Babe, and the competition is strong!! Email your cards to Em by Thursday & please include your blog details on your image.
The new BELLA FORUM is up & running on Stamping Bella - now you can share your cards with all the sistahs!!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day

Back to School...
Happy Saturday - this weeks Sweet Stop sketch challenge (SSS70) is a sketch with a twist; back to school! Here the kids still have a few weeks of summer left. I must confess I don't own a lot of school type images; must be the non-parent in me!
I decided to ink up this fabulous image from Taylored Expressions Whimsical Wishes line The Places you Will Go. The image is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest cream paper and coloured with copics. The clouds are stamped with stazon onto white felt & cut out and paper pieced. The balloon is paper pieced and popped up at the top to match the clouds. The ds paper is from October Afternoons line Thrift Shop.
Please stop by the Sweet Stop blog to see the rest of the Sugar Babies creations - I hope you can play along with us this week

Sketchy Time
Holy smokes (I can say that because it's smokey here in Calgary from the forest fires in BC - it's brutal over there!!) batman where did this week go?! Seriously I can't believe it's already time for Bellariffic Fridays! This week we had the fabulous sketch from Paulabella; get ready if you become a babe you have to create sketches!!
For my card I inked up Emma Lulu and stamped her onto bella's bestest cream paper. I coloured her with copics and paper pieced the flowers in her hair & the one on her dress. On the black polka dots I added some micro fine black glitter. The ds paper is from Basic greys nook & pantry line.
Make sure you check out, sign up and add your photos to the new BELLA FORUM!! Yep da bella has her very own forum which you can get to from Stamping Bella
Next week is the final week of our Babe search so the theme is FREE FORM - so knock our socks off (if we were wearing socks but it's summer so no socks - and really for me most of the time in the winter no socks!)
Don't forget to stop by Bloggabella to see this weeks Bellariffic Friday's entries
Have a great day!

Wedding cake...
We spent the weekend in Montreal for a friend's son's wedding (how did we get to going to friends kids weddings?!) We were lucky enough to see Paul McCartney on Thursday night while we were there; and he was amazing! How someone at his age can sing for over 2 hrs solid without a break (or even water) boggled my mind. I don't think anyone said he missed one of their favourite songs - it was so great! Then we spent 2 days wondering Montreal; I have only been back once since we moved lived there & it was in the dead of winter and the weather was perfect; how we miss those days & nights of summer in the East!!
Now onto my card! I decided to ink up LULU's Wedding Cake for the occasion. I didn't know the wedding colours so I chose to go with black & white - and I guessed right!! The image is stamped on bella's bestest paper & I did only a little shading on the cake itself with c00, c0. I coloured the roses with r35, r37, r39 and paper pieced them onto the cake then added some glamour dust glitter to the image.
I went through my stash of paper and came across My Minds Eye's Love Letters, which was perfect. I added some sting of pearls to finish the card.
Don't forget this weeks Bellariffic Friday's challenge is this great sketch. Last weeks cards were amazing; you are making it hard on us babes to choose!! Email your cards to Em by Friday & please include your blog info on the card -
Have a fantastic day & thanks for stopping by

Feelin Freaky
It's Saturday so that means it's time for another fabulous sketch from The Sweet Stop blog!! I decided to flip the image on my card from the sketch because I wanted to use one of my Greeting Farm Digi stamps - Freaky Flutter.
The image is printed onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics. I paper pieced her hairband and the butterflies. In the centre of the butterflies I used a little glamour dust glitter. The ds paper is basic grey's Olivia. I used my Martha Stewart scallop dot border punch and added lots of rhinestones along the border.
Please stop by the Sweet Stop blog to see what the rest of the Sugar Babies have created & I hope you can play along with us this week!!

Bring on the Bling
Happy Friday!! Today's Bellariffic Friday's challenge is BLING - I can't wait to see what the sistah's create this week; you're making this picking thing very tough on the babes!!
We needed a thank you card for my hubby's boss & his wife who had us out on their boat one afternoon when we were in Kelowna on holidays - it was fantastic just cruising along the water; how I miss being close to a lake! They were also nice enough to have us to dinner while we were there so we wanted to make sure they knew how much we appreciated it!
I went through and found an old solid image from Stamping Bella called solid funky grass. I bought this stamp way back when Stamping Bella first opened! I decided to give the image a new twist & stamped it with olive ink onto bella's bestest paper, then added some flowers I had from Stamping bella. In the centre of the flowers I added some rhinestones; you need to use the ones that are already sticky because there really isn't any place for the glue or use micro glue dots (which are fabulous!!) I stitched around the base with pink thread, and used fiskars apron lace border punch & some ribbon.
Don't forget to check out Tantalizing TOOOOSdays over at Bloggabella & Stamping Bella is now on Facebook - I know Em would love you to become a friend :)
Next weeks Bellariffic Friday challenge (week 3 in the DT call) is this fabulous sketch that Paulabella created. Email your card to Em by Thursday & please include your name & blog on the photo.

Solid & Funky
I woke up today thinking my post was up; but wait I hadn't taken a picture of my card, and if there's no picture there's no post!! So with coffee in hand I came to my stamp room to actually do my post!
When I saw this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch (SSSC80) I wanted to play along & when I was flipping through my bindah's I came across solid Funky Dandelion from Stamping Bella. It was a perfect image for the sketch & will be perfect to have in my stash for a Thank you card - hubby has pointed out if I didn't always buy cute little girl or boy images I would have lots of generic cards. He may be right on this point, but really how can I resist the cute images?!?!
I used markers on my stamp & of course the necessary heavy breathing then added a little bit of glamour dust glitter to the base of my flower. All the paper is from my stash of scraps and I sewed around the layers.
Don't forget this weeks Bellariffic Fridays challenge is BLING - razzle & dazzle us and please include your blog details on your image. Email your cards to EM by Thursday to be included on Friday - last week was amazing you're taking the DT spot very seriously!!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day

Celebrate
I can't believe it's already Saturday - after a week away this week has flown by! But I am excited to show you this weeks Sweet Stop sketch (SSS68)
On my desk I have a stack of "new" stamps waiting to be inked up (sadly it's a large stack!!) I went through them & decided it was time to ink up a Jolinne stamp from MFT.
Birthday Balloon Jolinne is stamped with mementos ink & coloured with copics. I used nesties to cut her out and when I went to place the balloons on I realized I had cut the strings to low to make them work (the middle and end balloon would have just been floating) Thankfully I have lots of embroidery thread in my house so I used some black thread for the strings from the balloons - really it's a good thing since I was basically done the card when I noticed this!
Please stop by the Sweet Stop blog to see what the rest of the Sugar Babies created and I hope you can play along with us this week

Week 1!!
I am so excited to see what all the sistah's come up with for the first week of the Babe contest!!
This weeks challenge was paper piecing - one of my favourite things! I knew immediately that I wanted to ink up Peter Plays with Paper from the Green Bean Baby stamps.
The images is stamped on bella's bestest cream paper and coloured with copics. I paper pieced his hat, the box is paper pieced with kraft cs & the ds paper from basic grey's archaic paper. I kept the card simple since it's a boy card I find I don't like a lot of embellishments so I added a piece of chocolate grosgrain ribbon onto of some more of the ds paper
Don't forget to stop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the babes cards & the entries for the babe contest!!
Next weeks challenge is to Razzle & Dazzle us by bringing on the bling! Email Em your card by Thursday to be included on Friday, and remember you can win bella bucks for playing along! For all you in the contest remember you have to have an active blog to be a babe since we get to show sneak peeks & show off all the amazing Stamping Bella Products!!
Thanks for stopping by & have a fantastic day

Are you a Babe?!
Just a reminder this is the first week of our new Babe contest! Karen Motzabella has decided to step down so she can spend more time in the air (she's getting her pilot license!) So we need a new babe!
Em wants all the sistah's to have a chance to become a babe so she's decided to go with a contest. You have to complete all 4 challenges for August - so make sure you dust off your Bella's & get your mojo flowing! The Babes will have the honour (& challenge I'm sure) of picking the newest Babe!!
This is the first week & the challenge is PAPER PIECING - email your cards to Em (em@stampingbella.com) by Thursday!!

Boots
Well I think I found my stamping groove - or at least for today! Hubby & I were on holidays last week & we had a fabulous time golfing & wandering Kelowna; love that place I need to figure out how to spend more time there! The break was great but I missed the Stamping Bella release last week; did you see the sweet new images?! And the new Christmas stamps - I am itching to get my hands on them! Em has extended the gift with purchase special until Thursday!!
For my card today I used Mercy's Sketch from this week (MTSC85) and Stamping Bella's "boots" stamp. The image is stamped on bella's bestest paper & coloured with copics. The DS paper is from my minds eye, the embossing folder is from quickutz, the punch is from Martha Stewart & I added a bella bonbon
Don't forget this is the first week of the Babe contest on Bloggabella, make sure you email Em your card by Thursday to be included; this weeks theme is paper piecing. Also pop by Bloggabella to check out this weeks Tantalizing TOOOsday specials!
Thanks for stopping by, looking forward to seeing all the cards for the Babe contest on Friday

August Calender
When I was little my mom would always hang our clothes out on a clothesline, something you don't see around here too much; but when we lived in Montreal you saw it all the time from the apartment building as soon as it warmed up.
With summer in mind I picked Funky clothesline as my image for August. The image is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics. On the flower I used a lavender atyou spica pen and on the orange polka dots I used an orange atyou spica pen
I hope you are all having a fantastic summer it's a long weekend for a lot of us here in Canada so I hope here has a great long weekend!
Dana
Copics: E34,E35; B00, B02, B05; BV000, BV01, BV02; YR04; orange atyou spica pen, lavender atyou spica pen
