Going Garmin to Shark-infested Area
We have a new toy. The Garmin GPS 76Csx!
Cumi: ...to find all those hard-to-find/reach restaurants that only salesmen, plantation managers, contruction supervisors, nature-enthusiasts know..
We decide to key in the coordinates and see if it actually leads us where we want to go...
(this is the route we took.. can you tell where we are headed/what we will have for lunch?)

Exit here. You will also see a mosque on the way to your destination.
Where am I headed?
Where am I headed?
You will see the town on your right.
Have you guessed already?
Have you guessed already?
You will see this UMNO building (OK, now you can just read the town name off the sign .. :P)
So what am I going to have for lunch?
So what am I going to have for lunch?
Now the GPS indicates that "you are on the wrong side of the road". Kindly U turn.
Last chance to guess what's for lunch...
Last chance to guess what's for lunch...
Hah! There it is. A lonesome TWO lots of shop and Soon Leong is our lunch destination.
Its specialty ?
SHARK Meat!
Cumi: Now before you, jump up and down ranting about poor sharks having their fins cut and tossed back into the sea for a slow death, we want to stress this is shark meat... to be exact a whole juvenile shark. For the record... we don't condone the cruel shark fins trade where the prized cuts doesn't bring any nutritional value to the table.
Shark meat on the other hand, is sold and eaten in many restaurants around the world. I miss Cajun Shark Burgers in Louisiana!

The other dishes that are good here and come highly recommended are the Em-Far-Lam(Part of the Pig that is mixed fat and lean meat - Ze Pork Belly!) in a dark sweet sauce with heaps of garlic.
Lai Liu Har (Mantis Prawn) in Thai sweet and sour sauce with HEAPS of onions.
Actually the Cook at Soon Leong is really crazy about garlic and onions. Every single dish is swimming in it.
Anyway back to the juvenile shark dish. It was damn good, I tell ya.
The amazing thing about eating the meat is that, unlike bony fish, sharks have no bones. Their skeleton is made of cartilage which is a tough, fibrous substance, not nearly as hard as bone. Sharks also have no swim bladder (unlike bony fish). What you see is just a center vertebrae running through the fish. This makes the juvenile sharks really easy to eat!
You will find the meat compact, heavy and sweet. It is easy to imagine that shark meat(adult) would be too tough for consumption. As it is, the meat of the young shark is ideal for the table.
All in all, the food here is really good .. and cheap too. Just RM7 per fish. Eventhough it looks tiny, don't let the size fool you. The meat is compact and really delicious. We highly recommend this place.. if you can find it or bother to endure the distance here.
Oh, I almost forgot.. a complimentary plate of sliced pineapple!
Food Disciples, Find your GOOD LUCK HERE!
Cumi: Check out this Geomantic Compass/Pak Kua/Pak Kwa/Bagua clock...Good Feng Shui here all the time? You could be eating at the right place, the right time and hopefully in the right company but definitely with the right wallet! We ate here exactly at one pm and our food was good!
Ok, the martials man wasn't at the restaurant but i found it while googling 'Pak Kua'. Adds the right 'chi' effect!! Hmm.. now how do i add that electric zapping animation on the pics???
For 'borrowing' his images, i will add the link here

QUICK GARMIN 76CSX Review
-Made by and for engineer-types. Complicated to use unless you are regular GPS user.
-Buttons are stiff and multi-direction button is clumsy. I doubt it gets softer with time.
-Screen is transflective and resolution was so-so. Could be brighter. Wish it was touch screen!!! (So much more user friendly)
-No voice commands but having it as an option would be handy for city driving.
-Water resistant but not shockproof or scratch resistant (found out the hard way)
-Handheld. Bulky
-Best for Marine use. I bought it for the water resistance.
-USB port better to have been located at the top instead of rear. Aims to persuade you to purchase a car mounting unit.
-Unable to comment to on signal reception strength since we don't have another unit to compare. Other online reviews generally says strong signal.
Basic pointers to buy GPS
-Buy within your budget - most important is compatibility of maps and signal strength. You don't need the latest GPS if you are just a regular user. Bundled maps are great to start with.
-Buy with the knowledge that parts & service are available in your state/country
-MP3 option will sap up the battery life (not just the duration) and takes up more processing power. Of course, this can be solved with direct current from the car.
-GPS phones are handy and useful for light users. Best to get to a dedicated unit.
-If buying for the vehicle mounting, best to have a bigger screen and decent speakers.

Some other interesting sights in Kapar town
A Malay Chicken Rice restaurant.. looks normal enough...
But if you look closer, you will see that they use old office furniture as tables and chairs.. How cool is that! I just love how incongruous it looks against the normal restaurant furniture ;)
