Marleene Craft Room

Marleene has a beautiful Craft room in what I think is her attic. A lot of IKEA elements, including the favourite of Crafty Storagers, the Raskog trolley and a STENSTORP kitchen island.

I strongly recommend to visit her gallery over at Two Peas in a Bucket, but I would like to highlight two great ideas:

A corner kitchen unit that rotates, perfect to utilise 100% of the space.

And that she uses a medium sized square Expedit (UK) unit over a Hemmes (UK) chest of drawers , both from IKEA.

Cassandra's Craftroom Tour

Cassandra has a fabulous workspace, she has revamped it again and invited us all in for a tour, its well worth the trip!

There's lots of storage ideas, all very organised. I love this Copic & Glitter storage.

Cassandra loves her embossing centre/Zutter space: she says: "I love having a designated space to work on embossing projects. Since I wanted to be able to emboss without having to kneel over, I decided to stack my Jetmax Cubes 3 high so they were closer to a counter height which would allow me to stand while embossing. The cubes also allowed ample space to store all of my dies, embossing folders, and Zutter related products. Having a designated space for embossing allows me to keep out what I'm working on at my desk and not have to push everything out of the way to emboss."

The room dimensions are just under 10' x just over 13'.

Don't foget you can visit Cassandra's blog for more photos, there's a direct link here

"Projects in Progress" Storage.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that gets called away from the crafting desk in the middle of a project. Whether the kids start yelling, dinner is burning, or your pager goes off and you need to respond for a SWAT call (we're out there)... You don't want to leave all the work you've done just laying there to get lost or spilled on.
One of my newest additions to the "works for me" side of my storage list are these trays I found at Target. They are 13x13 so they hold your scrapbook papers and also fit in the IKEA Expedit shevling system. If you don't have these trays that maybe you can convert other trays around the house. Before this I was using paper box lids.

Kim's new craft room

Kim's new craft studio features Ikea's most beloved bookshelf by crafters, the Expedit unit. The Table attachment is a great one if you don't have much space.
Love the simple colour scheme, black and white which is really my style.
Check her post here and click here for the main page of her blog.

Deb's Creative Studio

Oh wow, Deb's studio - you just have to visit her blog to see her fantastic work space and the wonderful storage, just wow ...

Deb has so many storage ideas, one of them is to use Bygel rods and baskets from Ikea to store her punches. It keeps them neat but still in sight so she uses them much more than if they were stored away in drawers.

Making the most of a small space

Take a peek at a corner of Julie's crafts room, and you'll see how you can pack a lot into a small space - it just takes the right storage!

I spy with my little eye:

- Ikea EXPEDIT desk combination

- Ikea ALEX drawer unit on casters

- Ikea BYGEL rails and basket

(are you seeing a pattern here? Ikea really IS one of the best places for storage ideas!)

- Mini Stackable drawer unit

- wooden cassette holder - this is one of my favourite thrifty storage ideas: check yard sales, thrift shops, and flea markets for an old-school cassette holder, and then use it to store all your ink pads!

Check out Julie's blog, Paper Pleasing Ideas, for even more ideas!

Valentine's Studio Space

Hi! I'm Dawn and I'm really excited to be contributing to the Crafty Storage Blog.

My first post is my friend's Clair and Sharni's fabulous craft space, they recently posted a tour on their blog.

Since then Clair has also posted about her nifty punch storage and her nestability storage.

I can't believe how they manage to keep their craftroom so tidy - all the time! It must be the organisation!

To see the tour of their craftroom click here, to find out more about Clair's punch storage click here, and see her nestability storage click here.

Becki Wainwright's studio in her own words

I decided to revamp my craft room mainly because I was running out of display space and it also gave me the opportunity to make things more accessible at the same time.

My Expedit bookcase was from Ikea at a wonderful £69 and provides ample space for my 12x12 albums and a few storage baskets at the same time. The wicker baskets with the ribbons tied on the front (in sets of 2 on the bookcase) are for all my colour coded embellishments – these are the real pretties that I adore and need their own storage space LOL

Most of my other embellies are safely stored in my lovely pink (what a surprise there!) butterfly totes as I spend a lot of time at crops so it makes it easier for me – if I had to repack everytime I would forget lots of things!! Although I am running out of space and so have just invested in the Creative Options tote below to store just the embellishments

My stamps are currently in a basket but I have just bought a My Sentiments Exactly stamp storage box – Im a sucker for pink and it only worked out at £10 delivered from eBay US so I couldn’t resist!!!

On the right of my craft room I have my 2m long desk (infact 2 desks pushed together) from Ikea – a bargain at £14 each!!! And my cute storage units on top.

I decided I needed additional storage space for my flowers (yes Im a floweraholic!!!!!!!!) and buttons as I was carrying way too many around in my tote

I was told about these wonderful spice and sweetie jars they have in Ikea so off I trundled….the spice jars are 3 for £1.99 and the large sweetie jars were 99p each but I still need a couple more!

My ultimate storage item has to be my tote-ally cool tote which is jam packed with all of my tools – my life depends on this LMAO.

You can find Becki's work here.
