Our Vet visit.

Howdy Everybuddy.  Yesterday we went to the Vets for our annual vaccinations.

We were as good as gold and mum and dad were proud of us.  I walked into the vets had a quick sniff and dropped down and relaxed on the floor.  Mum of course did not take her camera!  Hopeless I say, especially when I wanted proof of my goodness.  Stella was fabaroony too.

Then Dr Anna gave us the once over.  Well, she tried with me butt (and this is the important word) I kept my BUTT on the floor and would not stand up.  Hehehe, there was not a darn thing they could do.  I know what they do with their sneaky backend dealings.  My temperature was guessed to be normal.

Poor Stellie on the otherhand, FORGOT to sit and she was caught with her pants down.   Let's just say she was not amused!  Butt, it was a good thing cause she has a little infection from her, er, well, anal glands, shhhh, don't tell her I told you.  She's taking antibiotics and will be fine, just fine.  Mates, do not worry at all cause this is a very minor thingy.  We had our needles.  No worries.

Well that's all from me.  Oh, I had a weigh in too.  Mum is now calling me Rotund Rory.  I don't think it's funny.  88.8 kgs (195 lbs).  Stellie is a petite 17.4 kgs (38 lbs).

Here's a photo from our walk today.  See ya mates.

No worries, and slobber

A fallen tree adventure

Howdy everybuddy.  We were all set to tell you about our being abandoned by our mum and dad when we had some excitement on our summer track where we walk.  Who cares about mum and dad's holiday anyhoo.  We weren't there so the photos are boring.  We'll show you next time just to keep mum happy.

This huge old gum (eucalyptus) tree fell right over the track, covering the whole road.  We've had lots of rain, and strong wind  (no not from my bottom!) hehe.  This is what we found yesterday.

How can we get through?

I went over on the way down the track.

The way back up was a different matter.
Daaaaad?  Daaaaad!

This way dad.  Stella, it's easy.

Yep, Stellie got under, no worries.

I tried to get over.

And tried.

Hehe, seem to be having a little trouble here.

Dad, this is not time for Irish dancing.

Er, you aren't leaving me are you?

Mum, I can't do it.

 I'm scared.  Noooooooo.

 Wait for me, waaaaaaait.

I'm coming, wait for me, waaaaaait.
 Phew.  Made it.

I am not a baby.  I'm not.

Even though I was worried I would be stuck there forever, I made it.  Mum says I was very clever cause with my longs legs it was hard to climb past the tree.  We don't know how long it will be like this cause this road/track is closed to traffic.  We'll have to be extra careful once the snakes start coming out of hybernation that's for sure.  See ya soon mates with mum's boring old, dogless holiday snaps.

No worries, and slobber,
Rory (who can't climb trees) and Stella (who can).

A walk on the weekend.

Howdy Mates, how ya all going?  We went for a walk on Sunday and we nearly had some blue sky.  Nearly.  Spring is just around the corner for us and we say, thank dog for that.  Here we are doing the usual sit/stay.  Sigh.  It's mum's favourite cause she never thought we would do it.

Here's me on the old tree trunk.  This tree fell down a few years ago and has a hole running right through the middle of it, lengthwise.  It must be good for little creatures to hide in.  Dad put me up on top just so mum could get a photo.  Sigh (again).  See what we have to put up with.

I must admit, I look very regal hehehehe.

Muuuuum, did I hear the crackle of a treat bag????

Rory, wait for me little brother.

This photo mum actually tried to be creative, butt, in some she had the sun behind us and our faces were all dark.  One day, mum says she will get a 'you beaut' camera and try to become a famous photographer!  Well, famous in our family at least hehe.

In these last photos, for some reason the grass has come out all artificial looking.  We don't know why.  This is the beauty we see around us as we walk along the summer track (which is a dirt road near our house).  We feel very lucky indeed.

See ya mates.  Have a wonderful Wednesday.
No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

Stella and Rory's First Video

Howdy Everybuddy, well here it is, at last mum thinks she has mastered a video for you to watch.  We don't know if it will work but here goes.

It shows Rory and I running back and forth to mum and dad.  Thrilling I know.  Rory says he is like his friend Deccy but thinks he might be a little bit faster than him hehe.

If it doesn't work you might be able to watch it HERE

Take care friends.

The Truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

Howdy Mates, here's a little story for you all.  Well actually it's a bit long so you might want to get a cuppa or a cold drink.  I know you all think I am adorable, cute and butter wouldn't melt in my mouth.  Yes, I know, it can be a curse to be so cute.  But this is where the truth comes out.  I am confessing to an addiction.  Yes I have kept this under control with constant vigilence on mum and dad's behalf and amazing self control on mine.

The story starts on Monday arvo.  Dad is on sick leave cause he had a knee operation.  He's fine and only limps a little but that should soon be gone and his old knee will be back to, well, being an old knee, but without the limp hehe.

Anyhoo we decide to go for our usual walk along the Summer Track, which in winter can be a little muddy, darn cold but fun all the same.  Now, if you want to know who is the goodie two shoes in the family, look no further than Rory.  Oh yes, never leaves Mum's side while walking, unless he's alongside Dad.  Sheesh, that boy can be trying.  It's hard to talk him into any mischief.

Well my plan was prepared well in advance.  I had been thinking and thinking about what I could do to take mum's mind off things and cheer her up.  Then it came to me.  Aha.  Yes.  That's it.  Let the photo show begin and I will explain it all.

Here we are, beginning of the walk, me of course on lead and Goodie Two Shoes, off lead.

Practicing my sit and stay.

With mum, she didn't have a clue, hehe.

Come on Goodie, you don't have to wait for mum all the time.

My goat impersonation.

Please Dad, may I go off lead too?
I promise to be good!

Dad's goat impersonation hehe.

Yes mum, I'm coming.  Nothing to worry about here.

Hey Rory, keep them occupied for a minute will ya.

Hey mum, what's that over in the paddock?

 S  T  E  L  L  A ! ! ! !
get back here you little ratbag!

Well, sorry folks but there is no photos of the next bit.  I had a good old run with the sheep.  Yes, I am a sheep addict.   I knew it would take mum's mind off things and I was right.  She ran along, calling my name and looking very animated.  I knew it was definitely the right thing to do.  Anyhoo, I didn't want to cause too much trouble and in less than 45 seconds I was back.  The sheep had good fun too, baaing, running and baaing some more.   Only thing was, out came the lead again.  Rats.  Oh well, it was worth it mates.

Yeah, I know, I shouldn't do it, but it was for a worthy cause.
I'd do anything for my mum, even be naughty.
If I'm on lead, I don't even look at the bloomin sheep, but let me off and yippee, here I come.

 Here's the fallen down tree.
Its really huge and has a hole through it.  Cool.

Well, that's it mates.  I can't help myself, if there are sheep around, well, I just like to have a run with them.  Maybe I'm part sheepdog?

Here's a last photo of mum and Rory.
He's back on lead too now.  Nearly home and a bit more traffic around.

Hope your week has been fine so far.
Stella, Sheep Addict, signing off.
