Festive Blooms Christmas card

Continuing Christmas card production for this year.
For this card I used Concord & 9th Festive Blooms bundle and cardstock from my scrap box.
Sentiment is also from the same bundle.

Ornament Inlay Christmas cards

I just got this fun die called Ornament Inlay from Concord & 9th and had to take it out for a test drive.

Used 4 different cardstocks - most of them shiny or pearlescent, used the die and then mixed them up. I used double sided adhesive sheets to stick everything down - it's faster and less messy then to glue every little piece separately.

Sentiments are mostly from a Simon Says stamp set. I kept the cards flat for easy mailing.

Scrappy Christmas Cards

I like this month's sketch from Call Me Crafty Al SheetLoad of Cards - but instead of using new sheets of DSP I decided to use leftovers from various Christmas paper collections. This sketch is perfect for it because you only needs strips that are 1.75" or 1" wide. In total I made 16 cards. All the sentiments and most of the CS are from SU.

For the cards in the first picture I used scraps from older BoBunny and MME collections

These are older SU papers - dies are SU too.

Echo Park - WInter Magic - 25 cards from a pack

I started to make Christmas cards and I'm planning to give out a bunch as gifts so I needed to speed up the process so I came back to using up the whole paper pack.

Started with 6x6 Echo Park pad called Winter Magic - everything is blue, white and I added silver accents here and there.

These are probably my favorites - using Merries Moments stamp set and dies from Stampin Up, so I made 4 of them with just slight variations
Dragonfly Dreams - Winter/Christmas
Stamping Sensation - Christmas
Aud Sentiment - Christmas + Sentiment

SOS434 - Let It Snow

Our current challenge at Shopping Our Stash is called Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow - so anything snow related.

For my card I used 3 different patterned papers from an old BoBunny 6x6 pad called Powder Mountain. I love the snowflake paper, so I decided to showcase it and used only a one word die cut sentiment from Stampin Up.

And yes, I finished the whole pack and will post more cards made with these papers soon.

Vintage Christmas in July

Our newest challenge at Shopping Our Stash is called Christmas in July - and since it's our 400th challenge most of our team mates are offering a blog candy. So make sure you comment to win.
For my card I used a stamp from Stampendous called Snowy Postcard
It's very easy to make lovely cards with this stamp. I just sponged the stamped image with brown distress inks  and then added frantage shabby white embossing powder around the edges. For decoration I just layered several snowflake die cuts and added a vintage brad.

For my blog candy I'm offering this new Darice embossing folder for anyone who will comment on this post. Just tell me where are you from and if you celebrate Christmas.

Day 25

Just very quickly colored it with markers and layered it (together with punched borders) on top of poinsettia embossed cardstock. Kept it flat for easy mailing

30 day Use Your Scraps challenge - Day 13 - Puzzle Deer Christmas Card

Day 13
on this card I wanted to showcase the last bit of my favorite Christmas papers from BoBunny - it's probably at least 4-5 years old and I can't find it anymore. But it's better if it's on a card than in my scrap box, right?
I realized that the piece was exactly the same size as my puzzle die so I cut it up and put it back together as a puzzle.
Note for future use: looks a little flat, so I will probably adhere several pieces of paper before using the die next time.
Sentiment and the deer are embossed with silver EP and then I had a bit of trouble taking a photo of it since it was too shiny :)

Challenges:
Winter Wonderland - Anything Christmas/Winter
Crimbo Crackers - Anything Christmas goes

Day 2
I'm back with another Penny Black card - this time with a fairy I had colored and cut out previously (leftover from a swap couple years back) and a watercolored/salted background from my stash
Sentiment is from the same stamp set as the fairy and then I just layered it up and added some adhesive sequins for extra festive look

SOS301 - Merry Christmas with House Mouse

This week's challenge at Shopping Our Stash is called Back To Basics and we want participants to put away their dies and fussy cut something.
What has more fussy cutting than House Mouse 3D sheets, where you need to cut out several layers of everything? Probably not much :)

The paper is really shiny so it was a bit hard to get a good picture.

and here is a detail view where all the cut out leaves are better visible.

SOS265 - Good Word for Christmas Card with Stampin' Up Dies

This week's challenge at Shopping Our Stash is called What's the Good Word? and we want you to use word dies.

For my card I decided to use dies only - and I used Flourish dies from Stampin' Up with a last year's Christmas Greetings sentiment die (also from Stampin Up).

Come and Get It - punches & dies
HLS - anything with dies
