Pastel Poppies

This week is Classic & Elegant week at House of Cards. We have this lovely inspiration picture/color challnge

I used the poppies for inspiration and here is what I created:

I water colored the poppies and used Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Canteloupe CS.

Welcome to another DT post for the House of Cards challenge blog!  Since September has 5 Mondays in it, we've got an ANY STYLE GOES/PHOTO INSPIRATION challenge for you for the next week!!!

I used leaves and flowers from the picture for inspiration as well as the colors.
Stamps are from SU French Foliage set, papers and inks are Stampin Up as well. Flowers are from Prima.

HOC - Sketch - Purple Poppies

Good morning!  This month at House of Cards we are working with this fabulous sketch layout.

and here is my take on the sketch:

I used poppies from Hero Art and colored them with Prisma Pencils. Then I just embossed the white panel and kept it simple to make the image the star of the show.

HOC - Inspiration Challenge

This week we have a photo inspiration challenge over at House of Cards. Each day you'll find different style creations and today is Classic & Elegant.

and here is my card:

I was inspired by the elegance of the image and also used orange with gold flourishes in the corners. Image is from Flourishes and it was colored with a mix of pencils and markers.

HOC - Sweet Cherries

This week on House of Cards is Classic and Elegant with the same color palette as the past 2 weeks.

and here is my card

since the moment I saw the luscious cherries in the picture I knew I'll use cherries image from Flourishes. It's colored with alcohol markers.
This card is perfectly timed as we are just in the middle of cherry season here.. went to pick some this weekend..actually not some, but a whole lot :)
