This week's challenge at Shopping Our Stash is called The 4 Elements and we want everyone to choose and element (earth, wind, water, fire) to use on their creation.
I choose water and this lovely stamp with mermaid and seahorses from Sweet Pea Stamps (designed by Ching-Chou Kuik)
I colored the image with alcohol markers using a color palette from Sunday Stamps. I embossed the whole image with UTEE for extra glossy/watery effect,
Papers are from Stampin Up and flowers from my huge stash.
Challenges:
kitty bee designs - fairytale/fantasy
Through the Purple Haze - under water
Chocolate, Coffee and Cards - Bingo - pearls, patterned paper, embossing
Sunday Stamps - colors

Good Morning! It's time for another challenge at Shopping Our Stash, and this week our theme is Winter Blues. We ask you to make a card or other project with the main color of blue. It doesn't need to be all blue, and you can include any other colors you like, but when we look at your card, we should be able to say, "Oh, blue!"
For my card I used one of my neglected Sweet Pea Stamps and colored her in with alcohol markers (I probably used all shades of blue I have ) :)

Sweet Pea - Inner Tender Fairy in brown
Good morning! We have a new challenge over at Sweet Pea Stampers and the challenge is "fantasy" so that can be anything like fairies, pixies, mermaids, unicorns, witches etc. Very easy, since most of Sweet Pea stamps ARE fantasy :)
For my card I used fairy stamp from Ching-Chou Kuik called Inner Tender
I stamped it on watercolor paper and color it with watercolor pencils and water based markers. Then I distressed the edges and played with frantage embossing powders and mica flakes. Then just a bit of lace, Prima metal filigree embellishment and butterfly and it's done! :)
Challenges:
Cute Card Thursday - Things with Wings
The Crafter's Cafe - Embossing
Divas By Design - Lovely Lace
Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - In Distress
Use it Tuesday - Trends - Frantage embossing powders and mica flakes (I had to buy 5 different colors of each as it seemed that all cool cards have them) :)

Sweet Pea Stampers - Under the Sea
I don't know if I mentioned it before..so just in case I didn't.. I was lucky to be chosen for Sweet Pea Stampers design team. I'm on Team A, but since I didn't have time to make anything for Team A's challenge 2 weeks ago I decided to play along this week. The theme of the new challenge is Under the Sea. Sweet Pea Stamps has literally hundreds of mermaids, so this is really an easy one :)
I used Elaine Cox's Atlantis Bower (mermaid 1) digi. It's colored with alcohol markers and added stickles for extra shine. Sketch is from this week's Mojo Monday challenge.
I'm also entering it into the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp - By the Sea
Charizma Cards - girly
C.R.A.F.T Challenge - inspiration picture

Flowers, Fairies and Baseball
and here I am again with more cards:
first up is a card for my sister's B-day. Background was created by sprayed 3 different shades of glimmer mist - I used butterfly die cuts as masks. I also died the lace. Flower is one of the ones I made for last week's ABAC challenge. It's really shimmery, as are the golden leaves.
challenges:
Fab 'n' Funky - things with wings - butterflies
2 sisters - things with wings
second is a Christmas card with Poinsettia Fairy from Sweet Pea Stamps - I haven't play with these beauties for some time - so I was due :)
She's colored with Prismacolor pencils and the background is just simple embossed CS.
challenges:
Charisma cardz - things with wings
Crafting for all seasons - things with wings
Love to Create - things with wings
my 3rd card has more embossing and also Baseball Ian from The Greeting Farm - no sport themed papers here, so I just kept the background clean and simple. Added a bit of rugged-ness with inks and sanding.
challenges:
Simon Says Stamp - embossing
Dutch Dare - all things boys

PSC67 - Favorite Hair Color - SP Dark Royalty
Good Morning and Happy Sunday -May Day! Finally looks like spring out there.
Today's Paper Sundaes challenge is to color hair with your favorite hair color and of course tell us what colors did you use.
When I was thinking about my favorite hair color I realized I don't have any, but I do like to color hair with non-traditional colors, so that's what I decided to do. And what's better for non-traditional hair color than Sweet Pea fairies and mermaids? Nothing!
I used Dark Royalty and Copics for coloring - for the hair I used G00, BG11, BG13 and BG15.
While I was looking for the perfect papers I came across my fabric stash and though - why not? The teal background is fabric, adhered to CS with Heat Bond. Then just a bit of linnen lace, velvet ribbon and a cute little butterfly and my card is done.
Little word of advise - if you are playing with fabric or other non-paper material - remember to adhere them well -paper adhesive doesn't work so well - I used sticky tape on almost all layers today.
I'm also entering it into the following challenges:
If the Shoe Fits - Things with Wings
Stamp Something - Something with Wings
The stamping Boutique - Winged Things

Coloring Black Hair and New Challenge Blog
New challenge blog alert! My online friend Carla is launching a new and very useful challenge blog called SHOPPING OUR STASH (SOS) for all of us who are getting overwhelmed by our stash and for those living in denial too!! She is looking for DT members and offering a blog candy.
More information here!
I made this card for Make it Colorful challenge, where the theme is to color black hair. Well I have to admit that black hair is one of my least favorite things to color, but I gave it a try.
I used Sweet Pea stamp called Midnight Waiting and colored the image with Prismacolor pencils. For the hair, I went over the whole hair with light gray and then just added black and more black to create shadows.
I used Gloria's fabulous sketch from Christian Paper Craft blog - I don't have a large scallop die/punch, so I cut out several small circles from pink CS, cut them in half and adhered them on the light blue panel. I'm also entering it into In a Sweet Pea Dream Challenge where Anything goes.
