For my card this week I am using quite a racy image called Hot Pants from Barbara Jensen. There is quite a lot flesh on show and I opted to colour the bra and pants rather than make them fishnet see through stylee, I wasn’t quite brave enough to do that……

I coloured her using Promarkers and Flexmarkers then used a due from X-Cut  to shape the image and matting layer. The card is covered with beach paper from a summer themed drawer set by DCWV that I had from QVC years ago. Both the sentiments are cardstock stickers from the same set. I have used 3d foam squares on the image layer and then on the hot sticker which I thought was particularly appropriate for the image.

It was my turn to choose an image for myself and teamie Choccie to use and I opted for this rather wistful image Butter Blue by Barbara Jensen. I was drawn to the expression on the face and of course I loves butterflies J

I wanted to use the peacock colours of blues and turquoises, I just felt the image lent itself to those colours and went for a completely different approach (for me) of colouring the hair a bright blue. I fussy cut the image out including the frame which was quite awkward with the scroll bits. I mounted it with 3d foam onto some blue cardstock and added the butterfly charm and brad underneath.

The card blank is covered with a pretty paper from the New Bloom First Edition pad. I added some lace and ribbon from my stash and mounted the image so it projected off the card. I used some scraps of card to create a punched heart embellishment and the sentiment has been cut with a Quickutz Cookie Cutter die.

I have only ever made one all white card before and really was not happy with my results so I challenged myself to make an all white card AND not use any pretty papers!!

I chose this cute image Licky Tiggy Tiger by Barbara Jensen.  I know white tigers are rare but they do exist and I knew that I could add the black colour to the stripes and the palest pink to the fleshy parts like nose, pads on the paws and ears. I added some glossy accents to the nose and paws and cut the image out suing a Nestabilities die.

The main backing paper is a Boofles embossing folder on it’s first outing since I bought it months and months ago. It is like a patchwork effect so has quite a few different textures on it. I also used a second layer with a cuttlebug folder which has a bark effect, I thought it would emulate the stripes on the tiger. I used scissors to distress and roughen up the edges and attached a lacy edged ribbon to it following a sketch from A Die For A Sketch.

Finally I used a sentiment which was a freebie from TLC Creations and die cut it with a Nestabilities die. Both the image and sentiment have been mounted on 3D foam and this whole card is full of texture.

For this challenge I chose Fluff from Barbara Jensen Designs. Although it isn’t a Chrismas image I thought if I used traditional colours it would work and that’s my Cristmas card for my hubby done early too J

I coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers keeping to just red and green colours. The image was cut out using a Nestabilities die and I used a small inkpad to distress the edges of the shape.

I had some Hobbycraft vouchers for my birthday and bought the current copy f Creative Cardmaking magazine which had some smashing papers and card by Kanban with it. I used the traditional green holly to cover the base of my card and the gold and red card has had some Stickles glitter glue added as ‘berries’. The swirly die cuts are a new acquisition from Sizzlits. There are 2 swirl dies and shadows and stamps to go with it. The poinsettia flowers are flocked velvet and add some gorgeous texture to it.

The stripy sentiment panel is by Craftwork Cards which I layered onto a scrap of white card. The sentiment was ‘Made By Mandy’, cut using a Nestabilities die and I added a couple of green gems to finish off.

I had added the sentiments below, in both JPG & PNG format. You are more than welcome to download them. Please do not add them to you blog or claim them as you own and if you do use them I would love to see your projects J

It was my turn to choose an image from Barbara Jensen and I have this cutie Lolly Poppy, isn’t she a little darling?

I coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers in bright summery colours as I felt it matched the fun image. I have added some Sakura clear glitter pen on the lipstick, earrings and shoe laces and some glossy accents to the big wide eyes.

I used a large card blank and the patterned papers are from a lovely butterfly themed pad from Crea Motions by Artoz. It has lots of bright coloured papers in it, definitely made for me J I have used scraps of red and orange cardstock for the layering. The yellow ribbon and fabulous butterfly trim are a recent purchase from West Bromwich whilst I was waiting for my car to be MOT’d last week. I used paper and fabric flowers from my stash adding some vellum leaves I have had forever…..

The lolly has been made by forming Bakers Twin in a spiral on a glue dot. I would love to claim it was my idea but I was inspired by a fabulous Sun card by Alissa in our Sun themed challenge #121. Thanks for the inspiration J
