Digital Dictionary 电腦詞典

We are seriously considering buying a digital dictionary for our little girl whom is in Primary 5 now.  Her Chinese subject results have been always at the boarder line.  When our eldest going for UPSR last year, we thought of buying one for her but she said she can cope with the manual dictionary.

We are very grateful that our grand nephew whom has done his UPSR last year borrowed his Besta digital dictionary to his little aunty (my girl is younger but she is one generation older)  to try out & to explore the features available in this gadget to ensure that it is helpful before buying one.

The price is becoming more expensive nowadays.  There will be a promotion in the school on this product next month. Decision on buying one has yet to be made.

Are your kid(s) using this type of gadget ?  Does it help to improve their school academic results ?

UPSR Result 2015

UPSR result has finally out yesterday, it was also Primary 6 graduation day for my girl.  Not long after 10am during the ceremony, her form teacher informed her that she has scored 6As, she immediately made a sign language to her daddy whom seated far across the hall to inform him about her great achievement.

We did not know what to expect before that because she is only confident in securing 4As..Chinese is her weakest subject coupled with the difficulties of questions set for this year's exam, scoring As in both Chinese papers were not positive. She told me that the worst scenario would be 4As 3Cs.  We are very happy the she scored better than expected.  Well done my girl !!

It is a good news that her school produces the highest numbers of 7As in the state.  The best overall School Average Grades GPS of 1.90.

Archbishop John Wong attended the graduation ceremony for the 1st time and it is a blessing that my girl received the certificate from him.  Hope she will achieve more good results her her senior years.

We went for a dim sum lunch after the ceremony...

Handicraft work at Primary 3

My eldest just loves doing handicrafts.  She brought back some of her finished projects at the end of last year's session when the school term ended last year.  She has been reminding me to post them on my blog since last year but I was ever so busy that I have been delaying her request.  When we asked her to clean up her messy work desk tonight, she found them, again she asked whether I have posted on my blog.  I know I can't delay her request any more as I have promised her to do so.

These photos are taken by her to make it easy for mummy to post it on her blog..*.*

Again this year, she chose handicraft as the 1st choice in her school's extra curriculum activities.  I expect  to see her hands, face and uniforms with colouring and paint at the end of each class.  No doubt with more of her crafting stuff at the end of the year.

Reward For Good Results

To reward for her good academic result, Clet bought Crystal a cookery set as gift, she chose it herself. She attained a 2nd place in the class in her first year of kindergarten, which is not bad at all considering she never had any tuitions and playing computer games at her free time most of her time.
The school awarded her a medal for her good achievement
A cookery set was given by Daddy as a reward for job well done.
Crystal was playing

and Pearl joined in

As usual, they disagree with each other while playing the cookery set, Pearl went off and grabbed a book to read by herself; As big sister, Crystal came round and pujuk her :D

CRYSTAL'S SCHOOL RESULT

Parents of Crystal's kindergarten will be collecting their children's report cards on Saturday, that tomorrow, 24th May 2008. Since we were early in picking Crystal up today, I managed to collect from her form teacher this morning saving us a trip to the school again tomorrow. According to her teacher, her results are good but her interest in Bahasa Malaysia is lacking. She refused to pay attention in her BM classes; she was either walking around or purposely finding something else to do during the classes, like taking her sweet time to the washroom or excuse herself to drink water; teacher has attempted to get her to sit in the front row so that she can concentrate. After hearing the teacher's comment, I interviewed Crystal a bit, she admitted what she did in the BM classes because she does not like BM, erhrrr.. (sounded serious too..we as parents have to take this seriously too before it's too late!!!). In order to change her mentalilty on her dislike, we have to explain why she mustn't have this kind of thought. She sounded convinced with our explanations hopefully she will improve in the coming semester.
