--The steamship City of Baltimore, with Liverpool dates to July 18, was boarded off Cape Race on Thursday night. She brings £42,000 of specie. The steamship Borussia had left Liverpool with £75,000.

The sales of cotton in Liverpool on Wednesday and Thursday reached 40,000, of which speculators and exporters took 20,000 bales. The market closed buoyant at ⅓d advance.

Breadstuffs continued quiet and steady, and provisions unchanged.
