Contributions for the wounded.

We have received a liberal donation for the benefit of the wounded from a citizen of Norfolk, who sent a like sum through this office for the benefit of Mrs. Wyatt, the mother of young Wyatt, who fell at Bethel. The following is his letter, enclosing a check for fifty dollars:

Norfolk, July 22, 1861.
Editors Dispatch:Gentlemen
--I notice in your paper of this date a call for a meeting of "the citizens of Richmond to concert measures for the aid and comfort of the wounded" in the battle of the 21st inst.

I trust it will not be regarded as intrusive on my part if I ask the privilege of being considered a citizen of Richmond, so far as the object of the meeting is concerned; and to this end I beg to tender the enclosed certified check for fifty dollars, to which you will please give the proper direction, and oblige, gentlemen,

Yours, very truly,

Charles Harris.
