--A few nights ago, as watchman Pleasants was making his rounds, he encountered five negroes, two of whom, having no passes, were taken to the watch-house. On one of them was found a five shooter, loaded to the muzzle. This fact should warn owners of negroes to exercise all the vigilance in their power to prevent any such violation of law.
