τῷ παρέχεσθαι Φορμίωνι ‘By its being produced, not by, but to Phormion.’—είᾶσθαι δ: ‘and yet let alone (not made away with) by myself.’ (See last note.) The pf. pass. είᾶσθαι is apparently never used elsewhere. Or. 8 § 59 ἐᾶσθαι, 10 §8 ἐαθέντα, Isocr. 4 § 97 εἰάθησαν.
