Recycling On The Go in Kenilworth and Warwick District - it's those big black bins

New to Kenilworth and Warwick District are some big black bins which are all about Recycling On The Go. There are seven units in Kenilworth at: Abbey End, Talisman Square, Abbey Hill/Abbey Fields, Albion Street Shopping Precinct, Leyes Lane, Whitmoor Road and Oaks Road Precinct. Warwick District has 27 Units.

WDC explain, The new recycling units will have 5 sections; 2 for general litter and 3 for recycling and will be placed across Leamington, Kenilworth and Warwick in areas of high foot fall, including many school routes.

The Gauntlet in Caesar Road will Open in Autumn 2011

A planning application was granted last night by Warwick District Council that will see The Gauntlet in Caesar Road reopen in the next few months. News came from @joerukin at 7.47pm last night on twitter: Planning committee at District Council say yes to The #Gauntlet #Kenilworth planning application 7-1.

These photos, which were taken this morning, can serve as a before and after. The after comes when Enterprise Inns complete the refurbishment.

Robbery at One Stop Caesar Road - Appeal for Witnesses

MEN armed with a hammer and a crowbar forced staff at Kenilworth shop to hand over cash from the safe. The pair stormed into the One Stop Community Stores in Oaks Precinct at about 8.30pm on Monday (21 Feb 2011), demanding money. After threatening the shop staff, the workers opened the safe.

The robbers placed the cash and some cigarettes in a black bin liner before leaving through the back of the shop. It’s believed the men left the back of the store, turned right and fled the scene in a waiting car. Officers plotted their route by using sniffer dogs. Officers are appealing for witnesses who saw the men enter or leave the shop, or who saw a car they did not recognise parked at the back of the precinct in Caesar Road.
