Blog Haul: J Crew madness

J Crew Madness
The obsession is real......

On my way home for the weekend we pass by a J Crew factory store.  Essentially I am very obsessed with J Crew recently. Most of the stuff I have been wearing is from J Crew. I love how everything is super fun and cute but also very classic and sophisticated.

So naturally I had to stop in! It was a huge shopping success. With the whole store being 50% off its a very dangerous place. And I picked up for some great things for great prices!

{Above}
I picked up some AMAZING jewelry pieces! I got a huge statement necklace for only $17! Then both of the bracelets were around $10 and the earrings were $13. These are all super great deals for J Crew jewelry. I almost died I was so excited.

My favorite piece is for sure the pearl bracelet. I have the matching necklace so they will be a perfect pair.

Here are all of the clothing pieces I also picked up! The clothing haul includes 2 pairs of pants, a pair of shorts, an anchor denim button down, and a embroidered style top. One of the pants has a super great pattern with blues, greens, and pinks. Also, I picked up a fun pair of seersucker pants that will be great for spring. Then I couldn't pass up a fun pair of plaid shorts for only around $20.
The anchor button down shirt may be my new obsession also. It is totally my style! Also, it feeds my nautical obsession...... which is good and bad at the same time. Then I got another fun top that is white with a printed embroidered pattern.

XOXO

Back Home Haul

Back Home Haul:
When I arrive home from being hidden away in Ames usually one of the first things I do is either eat or shop. So, when I came home for winter break I immediately needed to shop my favorite stores to score all of the amazing deals right now.

It's almost Christmas so there are a lot of good sales all around. During this time everyone is frantically trying to get their gifts finalized while I am casually browsing for myself. No worries though, I finished my gifts a long time ago.

One of the stores I went to was Nordstrom Rack. Nordstrom Rack is either a miss or a super hit with me. This time it was a super hit!

I have been eyeing these Sam Eldeman heels for quite some time. They have a unique shaped heel and are also a very dark colbot or purple color. However, I wasn't going to pay the original $50 or so dollars for them since they are such a unique color. I have seen these shoes at my Nordstrom Rack for quite some time now. So, when I saw them on this shopping trip I knew they had to be a reasonable discount by now. And boy was I right! I landed these shoes for a whopping $5! Yes $5! They were on super clearance and I couldn't be more happy with the purchase.

Getting $5 shoes is a skill of mine at Nordstrom Rack. I got a pair of Sam Eldeman ballet flats on a previous trip a while back. THE LESSON HERE: be sure to keep an eye out for shoes that have been on the shelf for a while. Chances are they will go down eventually if no one scoops them up!

The next stop was to Dry Goods where I picked up these gorgeous statement necklaces. The crystal one was only $7 and the pink one was $5! Who can beat that deal?

I know it doesn't look like it but these are a pair of harem pants! For a long time I have been trying to find a flattering pair of these. But, since I am super short they usually look ridiculous on me but these fit great! They are from Aerie but American Eagle also has the same style I believe. If you catch American Eagle or Aerie now you can get them on sale! I got these for around $17 because they were 50% off!

I am no a sweatpants person. However, if sweatpants were cute these would be the pair! They are super sparkly and are also kind of chic. I could totally see myself dressing these up for some reason.

Who couldn't love this adorable pair of PJ shorts! Gotta love my polar bears.

I am kind of obsessed with these jeans. They are black with a metallic cheetah print. For only $20 for Free People jeans I couldn't leave them behind! I snagged this deal at Nordstrom Rack.

Here are some random things I have picked up. I was in need of a new pair of pearl studs. So I picked them up from my favorite jewelry boutique at a mall near me. Also I picked up a knit head band to wear around campus and out and about over break.

At Target I picked up a Revlon lipstick in Black Cherry. I have heared so many beauty gurus rave about it that I had to pick it up. Then I got a new moss green nail polish on clearance then finally a pair of red tights to wear during the holiday season!

Gilly Hicks was having their Semi-Annual sale so I picked up a few things for super cheap! I got a pair of jeggings and a pair of sparkly leggings. Their leggings are super nice and I think these will be great to wear if I want to be comfy but cute.

Recently I have been obsessed with button downs. So I picked up these two button downs for only about $7 each! How can you pass up a deal like that?

I also picked up a bra for only $9! But I thought it would be weird to show it but if you like Gilly Hicks bras this is the time to stock up my friends.

That is the end of my back home haul! I will for sure be doing a Christmas haul as soon as I have seen all of my friends and family! Comment down below what you got if you went shopping the minuet you got back from college. Or if you have scored some good deals anywhere!

Blog Haul: New York and Teen Vogue Fashion U

Blog Haul: New York and Fashion U

So, it's that time to show you all of the loot that I picked up at Teen Vogue Fashion University along with everything I bought while shopping!

Some things in the bag included beauty products, Hue leggings (which are to big sadly), a Sperry magnet, a copy of Teen Vogue, and more!

On the left are just some postcards that I picked up to send to some of my friends. You have to buy something cheesy and touristy when you are in New York right?

On the right is a J Crew bracelet I purchased which I am obsessed with! It is super chunky, sparkly, and fabulous. Also, I got a pair of black, white, and grey chevron socks from J Crew. Both of these things were 40% off the sale price so they were both at a pretty good price.

I bought a few things at the Topshop event for Teen Vogue. I got these two shirts on sale plus the extra 20% we received with Teen Vogue. The first shirt is a simple red and white striped button down. I style this in a very preppy fun way and not to mention it fits really well!

Also, I got this super flowy yellow tank. It is a semi sheer fabric that hangs well on the body.

At Forever 21 I picked up these three dresses along with 2 belts. The lime green dress is the same fabric as a dress that I already own so of course I had to get it! The silhouette is super flattering and in general it is pretty comfortable.

The red dress was an impulse buy but its super tight and hugs in all the right places.

The maroon striped dress is a new obsession of mine. I wore it recently and I think there are a lot of different ways I can style it.

I picked up this beanie at Brandy Melville basically because it is hilarious.

In our goodie bags we got two free bracelets from Express which are actually pretty cute!

Secret is one of the main sponsors for TVFU so everyone got a free deodorant.

These are some of the beauty products that were given to us by some of the sponsors. I got things from Olay, Herbal Essence, and Pantene.

On the left is a super cute mini Bvlgari perfume that I got in our goodie bag. The scent is as amazing as the packaging.

At American Eagle I picked up this sparkle baseball tee. It is super soft and will be perfect for a lazy day or with a fun skirt.

Lastly, I got some hair accessories from Brandy Melville and also a bun twisty from American Eagle. I got to wire headbands one with a plaid print and the other with sunflowers. These are perfect for when you are having a not so cute hair day.

Back Home Blog Haul

Blog Haul:
Akira, Dry Goods, and Gilly Hicks

I went home from school this past weekend for Labor Day. Of course coming home meant going shopping. No offense Iowa you have no good stores so I was in desperate need of some retail therapy.

Gilly Hicks had 40% off their whole store plus 50% off clearance. I got this one-zie pajama romper I would say. It is super soft and has white and navy stripes. It was around $9 because it was 50% off the sale price.

I have literally been eyeing this rope for forever. I am obsessed with their new monogram logo. This was originally around $50. So, obviously I waited for it to go on sale. This rope is super soft and comfy of course. (I'm actually wearing it while I am writing this post :) ) The quality is super nice and of course I love the stripes and the hot pink detailing.

This next dress I got from Dry Goods. Again, I have been eyeing this dress for quite sometime now. I saw it in their clearance area the past few trips to the mall. Finally, it got down to $13 from around $50 originally. I'm super excited to wear this dress to some type of sorority event most likely. The lace and piping like detailing makes it have a little bit more interest then your average maxi dress.

The rest of these items are from Akira.
These two necklaces I got for $10 because they had a buy one get one free deal. Originally, together, they would have been around $40. Getting both for $10 is not that bad of a deal if you ask me!
The one on the left is very glamorous and makes a statement. The one on the right is more simple but super cute and dainty.

I got these shorts mainly for going out. They were only $10 so you can't really leave them behind. They have a symmetrical tribal print with bright oranges, purples, and blues. They fit pretty snug and are also high waisted.

Akira always gets me with their deals. One of their promotions was get two sunglasses for $10. So of course I bought two pairs of sunglasses. I got a pair of basic aviators because oddly enough I don't own anything like these. Then I got this super fun bright blue pair. The lenses are super circular which I like on my face.

The last thing I got was this houndstooth body con dress. It has a peplum detail at the waist and the fabric has a nice texture to it. At $10 you can't top this super chic dress.

BLOG HAUL: Akira, Forever 21, & Dry Goods

Blog Haul: Forever 21, Akira, and Dry Goods

The first two thing I got are from forever 21. I got two pairs of socks that are super cute. One has a panda and is black and white. The panda also has a little red bow on. The other pair has a big on them and they are grey and white.
Then this shirt. This shirt basically is my life in a shirt. It is just a white muscle tank that says #ootd which is my favorite hashtag of them all.
To see all my #ootd check out my Instagram: miranda_pollitt19

The next two things I got from Akira. They had their sale (50% off sale items) going on at the Akira in my mall. So, I picked up a few things. Both of these skirts were $5. The first one is a black and white circle skirt and it has a pattern of jewels on it. It's a very unique skirt and for only $5 you can't beat it! Then I got this lime green peplum pencil skirt. The fabric is kind of like tweed and has a hint of sparkle.

I also got two accessories. First I got this ring that is kind of J Crew inspired I think. It was on sale at Akira and it was buy one get one free so I got something for my mom and got this for free. Then from Dry Goods I got these heart shaped sunglasses for only $3.

The last thing I got was from Akira as well. It is a plaid dress with cutouts on the side as well as a deep V. In the shoulders there is a little padding which gives it some structure.
