One of my favorites: Pure Ice Strapless

You know what I love? Drugstore polish. I do. A lot. Especially Pure Ice, because it makes me all nostalgic and stuff. Here's one of my top favorites:

Pure Ice Strapless. This is a very fine blue glitter in a clear base. Sometimes the most simple things are the most beautiful. I mean.... just look at it! It's amazing! It sparkles like crazy, even in low light like indoors. The color is rich and beautiful. There's not much for me to say about it because I think the picture speaks for itself.

For such a fine textured glitter, it's also pretty dense and easily buildable. I'm pretty sure this is four coats? Might have been three. Since it's only glitter in a clear base, it dries very fast and doing multiple coats doesn't give you trouble with drying or getting lumpy. It does dry gritty, so a coat or two of thick topcoat are a must.

And for under $3! Might even be under $2, I can't remember if these are $1.97 or $2.97. It also seems like it would be a good glitter to mix with other polishes, too.

The only downside is that it's only sold at Wal-Mart. I go there two or three times a year just to stock up on Pure Ice and Petites polish, and they're really worth the trip. Petites... that reminds me.... I have a whole ton of those I want to post. Cheap polish rocks!

More Nail Art with Art Club polishes.

First things first, I want to apologize for being so slow in responding to your comments. I'm not ignoring you and I will respond to each and every comment! I have been trying to spend less time on the internet... I love reading blogs and commenting and posting about nail polish and reading all your comments, but I can easily spend the ENTIRE DAY doing it... Addictive!

Now it's time for pics!

I've been playing around with some Art Club nail art polishes lately and trying to come up with interesting designs, but I keep coming back to the same type of design.

The past couple of month, I've been in the habit of wearing a different color or design on each hand. It gives me a chance to 'wear' more stuff. Is that weird? I have serious nail polish ADD.

In these two pictures, it's China Glaze Calypso Blue with Art Club Gold Hologram and Hologram Glitter. The thumbs have a little Pure Ice Heartbreaker. Heartbreaker is one of the best polishes in the entire world- it can make anything look better. It'd consider it a must-have for sure.

Here's the silver blurred a little to show you how cool the hologram glitter is. For some reason, only blurry pictures show the awesomeness of glitter. Hmm.

Here's a little closeup of Heartbreaker over Calypso Blue.

Here's me playing around with a bunch of Art Club polishes... Malmsy, Orchistra, Aquarius, Titania Gold. I'm not sure if I like any of these designs, but they were fun to do! I guess the stripes and polka dots are pretty cute...

And here's the mani I ruined to play with nail art:

I love this one. It's so cool, I think I'll do it again, but I can't remember the polishes I used! I know the orange is OPI Osaka To Me Orange, but I don't remember what the rest are. Oops!

I think I'm going to keep playing with nail art- Art Club polishes are perfect for creating designs and it makes it really fun and easy to experiment.

Essie Neon Shorts Collection 2008 (Plus Layering with Pure Ice Heartbreaker!)

I'm really in love with these. They apply so smoothly, are pretty much opaque in one coat, and they're super bright. They are much more "neon" than I can capture in pictures, but I tried my best. On to the good stuff...

Bermuda Shorts. A rich, vibrant, creamy neon purple.

Mini Shorts. Bright, glowing orange.

Short Shorts. Hot neon pink.

Shorty Pants. Smooth bright yellow creme.

Aren't the beautiful? They can be even more beautiful. Heartbreaker is the wonder polish. It can make anything look better. It's a must have! It adds a gorgeous depth to any color I've tried it over.

Bermuda Shorts with Pure Ice Heartbreaker. It adds an amazing deep blue and green shimmer.

Mini Shorts with Pure Ice Heartbreaker. Again, adds amazing blue/green shimmer, but against the orange it seems to have a lot of gold.

Short Shorts with Pure Ice Heartbreaker. This looks iridescent in real life. The blue and green shimmer accents the hot pink perfectly.

Shorty Pants with Pure Ice Heartbreaker. Against yellow, it not only adds that beautiful sparkle, but it makes the polish look green from some angles!

I'm really impressed with Essie's Neon collection. The formulas are great, sure, but what has me the most shocked is that Essie released NEONS! I knew they could do it!
