Nina Ultra Pro Molten Gold over OPI Suzi Says Da!

Here's another lovely Nina Ultra Pro color. I have been trying to wear all of the unworn Nina polishes in my stash, and this was a particularly pretty one. I wore this combination last fall and it made me think of apples and apple cider!

Nina Ultra Pro Glam Rock over OPI Siberian Nights

Random nail-of-the-day post! Except it's technically not my current nail of the day... That's still the Incoco Tis The Season appliques. This one's from the fall and I really liked it.

Nina Ultra Pro Molten Copper

Now here's a good fall duochrome. Picked this one up at Sally Beauty ages ago and never wore it until now. I've been trying to wear all my Nina Ultra Pro polishes... They don't get enough attention.

Nina Ultra Pro Molten Copper. Four coats. This one is sheer, but it builds up well. You could probably layer over an opaque base to deal with the sheerness, I just don't like layering my duochromes most of the time.

Such a pretty fall color. Nice and inexpensive to boot.

Nina Ultra Pro Mossy Britches

I need a little break from posting fall collections. I'm almost done with them, but right now I just want to post something random and fun from my stash!

Nina Ultra Pro Mossy Britches. I think I've only posted about Nina Ultra Pro one other time (Purple X-ing), but I really should post about them more often! They have a fairly small range of colors, but most of them are interesting ones, like this... Mossy Britches is the most gorgeous olive green with a gold shift. I don't know if I'd call it a true duochrome, but it can look more green or more gold depending on the angle. It's a little bit streaky, but most of the streaks disappear after the polish dries.

The formula is pretty good, a little runny, but nothing too extreme. The bottle and brush are very basic, generic even, but again, not bad. The dry time is a little long.

The only place I've ever seen these is Sally Beauty. They have them listed online, but it looks like only a small selection compared to the in-store displays. They're $4.29 each, $3.79 if you have a Sally Beauty Club Card.

Nina Ultra Pro Purple Xing

Nina Ultra Pro in Purple Xing. Top is natural light (indoors), bottom is flash to show the hologram glitter. I don't think I've posted anything from my Nina stash yet! So, why not start out with the best one?

I love this polish. It combines two of my favorite things: purple and holo glitter. I think it looks amazing. It's a little sheer but I think it's worth it to do the three or four coats it needs. The name had me confused when I bought it... I'm like... what is this? Xing? Kissing? Crossing? X-ing? And then it sorta dawned on me- maybe it's supposed to be "perplexing"? I love polishes with crazy names.

Nina has some pretty cool polishes, I think I need to try more of them. The colors never wow me on the display but when I pick up the bottles and examine them I usually find some cool detail I like about each color. The bottles don't really jump out at me, I'm a sucker for nice packaging and I suppose my eyes just glance over the plain generic round bottle. Reminds me of the Seche bottle or the old Sinful bottle.

I think they should do more colors like this- a blue one, a green one, heck, I'd really like to see a yellow jelly with holo glitter. Jelly + holo = awesoooooomeeeeeeeeee
