i lily love this polish

Hola!

I've posted about OPI's I Lily Love You before, but here's another post because it's so great.

This time, I've layered it over OPI - Pink Friday, and I added OPI - Yule Love This Silver on top for a little added sparkle.

Pink and sparkly nails can always cheer me up!

Aaaaand don't forget to follow me on Instagram where I posted a nice bottle pic while I was doing this mani.

Have a great day!

piCture pOlish - Festival

Hello and welcome to yet another piCture pOlish Monday!

Today's post showcases a beautiful flakie polish from PP!

piCture pOlish - Festival
Festival is a lovely multi-colored flakie in a clear base. Shown is two coats, the flakies are pretty dense!

I find that flakies look best over dark creme polishes, and I don't have any PP polishes of that sort, so I chose to layer it over a pretty dark green.

American Apparel - Hunter
Love this polish, great formula, you can get away with one thick coat or two thin ones. Dries super fast, too.

Mmm, flakies.

piCture pOlish is available at picturepolish.com.au as well as with lots of other network members around the world. Check out the Network list for a full rundown of the places you can find PP!

OPI - I Lily Love You

Hey guys! As this post goes live, I will be somewhere in the air over Canada, headed to Toronto for a week!
Never fear, I've got posts all lined up so it won't be lonely here on RLN.

I'm starting this group of scheduled posts with a real stunner!

OPI - I Lily Love You
Lkejhdfwedowkedokefejnf I love this soooooooo much. So much. Bunch of pictures to display my love.

I recently received this polish from my friend Anissa. It was a longtime lemming of mine! And I'm so happy to finally have it.
It is a sheer pink base that is packed with iridescent glitter and flakies. It's really dense, this is two very thin coats. I layered it over another new polish of mine:

Zoya - Charisma
Here we have a crazy bright fuchsia that dries to a semi-matte finish. Kinda sheer, this is 2 coats and you can see my nail line in the photo, but not as much in person. I think this was a fantastic base color for the flakies!

So happy to finally have this beauty in my collection. I don't know why I didn't buy it when it first came out. I'm dumb.

I wonder what goodies I will bring home from Toronto... You'll have to check back in a week and see!

Have a lovely day :)

Barielle Spam #2

Sometimes, I swatch things, I edit the pictures, I put them in a folder in my computer... And they go there to die.
The following swatches were done like, last March. And I'm just now posting them. Because I just noticed them in my swatch folder. Whoops!

Some of the photos are a little funny, where they were done a year ago. So please ignore those. But there are some cool polishes in here, so I couldn't just let them continue to hide in my swatch folder until the end of time!

So what do I have for you? Five polishes from Barielle!
I got these in a 5-pack at Winners for $16.99. (Along with the other 5 that I posted last year.)
I still see these sets of polish at Winners sometimes! (Haven't seen anything buy-worthy lately, though.)

I'll start with my favorite one of the bunch:

Barielle - Falling Star
How different! A bright blue creme base filled with small copper glitter. A really interesting and unique polish.
At first I didn't really love it but looking back, it is great, and I should wear it again.
Two coats.

Barielle - Grape Escape
Your standard purple creme. Fun color but not unique. 2 coats.

Barielle - Passion Pirouette
Uh-oh... streaky polish. It's a shame it is so streaky, because I really like this color! A vibrant metallic purple. I can't remember how many coats this is. 2 or 3.

Barielle - Out-Grey-Geous
Another unique one - I can't think of another polish in my stash quite like this. A shimmery grey with tiny golden flecks. Nice! Three coats, a bit sheer.

Barielle - Elle's Spell
This is one of Barielle's most popular polishes. A red jelly with fiery flakies! My pictures of this one are a bit crappy... Sorry. Haha!
You can wear this alone at 3 coats, or you can layer it! I tried it over Grape Escape:

The red base deepens the purple, and the flakies look cool!
I like it much better layered. It would be stunning over deep reds, I bet! I'll have to try that next.

There you have it!
5 swatches from my vault.
The vault is pretty big... Some of it is so bad... I'll have to sort through it and see what is worth posting!

Deborah Lippmann - Sweet Dreams

Sweet dreams are made of these...

Deborah Lippmann - Sweet Dreams
My sweet dreams are definitely made of pretty pink polishes like this one.

Seen here is three coats of this pink jelly polish that is packed with golden flakies. I had this for months before using it and I totally regret waiting so long to try it because it is gorgeous!
It starts a bit sheer but builds easily.

I don't often recommend pricey polishes but this is one I would spend the money on. F'sho. I love it.

I wish there was a purple one just like it... Come on, Deborah! Make me one.

Color Club - Winter Affair Collection - swatches and review

Hey everyone! Y'all know how much I love Color Club, and today I've got their winter collection for your viewing pleasure!

This is the Color Club Winter Affair Collection, five pretty scented shimmers and a flakie topcoat.

Here's the weird thing - there are two versions of this collection. One version is available at Sally Beauty Supply for the holidays and one is available everywhere else CC is sold.
The entire collection doesn't change, just two polishes. But it is pretty weird because the names don't change.
I'll point out the changing ones as we go through the swatches!

Color Club - Berry and Bright
This is a beeeeeeeautiful red foily shimmer. I don't usually fawn over red polishes but this one is great. I actually didn't want to take it off when I swatched it! I will definitely be wearing this over the holidays because it is really festive and pretty.
It smells like berries or maybe just cherries, it's hard to tell, but it smells nice! I didn't find the scent to be overwhelming or toxic-fumey like some scented polishes! Haha.
It just needs two coats for good coverage.

Color Club - Ho-Ho-Holly
This is a green foil shimmer with a lot of gold sparkle in it! Really pretty, and I don't have anything else like it.
You need three coats with this one for the best color payoff, but it dries really quickly, as do all the others in the collection.
I'm assuming it smells like holly berries, although I'm not sure I know what that smells like. The smell is nice though and again, not too intense.

Color Club - Gift of Sparkle
This is one of the two polishes that has two versions.
At Sally Beauty, Gift of Sparkle is a blue foil polish, quite like Cold Metal from the Foiled Collection, but scented. I can't decide what the smell is but it is familiar... My mom couldn't decide either.
Covers in 2 coats.

Everywhere else, you'll find a purple glitter polish, which you can see here on Burb Beauty.
I am annoyed because I don't need another bottle of Cold Metal, and I want purple glitter!!! Whomp whomp.

Color Club - Winter Affair
This is the second polish that has two versions. At Sally's you will find a gold foil, just like Gingerbread Man from the Scent-suous Collection, which was last year's scented Sally-exclusive collection. Same exact polish, new scent. This one smells like vanilla! It smells awesome. Vanilla is one of my favorite scents!
Covers in 2 coats.

Elsewhere, Winter Affair is a vampy burgundy shimmer, and you can see it here on Burb Beauty.
I have no idea why Sally's has two different polishes but it makes me mad because I want the other versions! It is especially frustrating where the Sally's versions are dupes for previous polishes. I'll have to look for the others somewhere!

Color Club - Glitter Wonderland
(Oops, forgot to take a label shot.)
This is my favorite polish from the collection! A beautiful purple shimmer with tiny blue and fuchsia microglitter. Super shimmery and pretty. You need three coats with this one for full coverage but it dries fast.
I cannot decide what this one smells like, either. It smells good, though! Seems a bit berry-scented. But I'm not sure.
I've been wearing this one for two days now and I can still smell it on my nails! It's not as strong today, obviously, but it is still there. (And it is under 2 coats of flakies and a coat of Seche Vite, so the scent really is powerful. But not overwhelming and toxic.)

Color Club - Snow-Flakes
This is a flakie topcoat, just like a bunch of other flakie topcoats such as Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure and Essie Shine of the Times. Not original, but always pretty.
I layered two coats over Glitter Wonderland for these swatches and that's the mani I stuck with! It's so gorgeous.

Nom nom nom. I love how you can see the blue shimmering in the purple and the flakies on top. This is a great combo!

There you have it! Happy holidays from Color Club!
