It's time for a Sparkly Sunday! Maybe I should make that a weekly thing... (Who am I kidding, almost every day here is sparkly...)
Lynnderella - I Don't Mean Rhinestones
This polish is just stunning. The color of the glitter is so awesome, and it is holographic too but you can't really see it in my photos. Believe you me, none of the photos of this polish floating around truly do it justice. It is so beautiful!
I don't stand behind Lynnderella and her practices but this polish was a gift from (again) the amazing Jini from MakeUpMom123, and I treasure it for its beauty!
I layered it over black to make the teal really pop! It is also gorgeous over dark blues and teals and other glitters... Anything!
I did recently pick up a glitter that is similar in color, which could satisfy a lemming for some of you. Sephora by OPI - I'm So Sari!
It has similarly colored teal glitter but it also has silver glitter so it is a bit different. But much easier to find...
My nails were like little blue-teal gems. So sparkly and eye-catching, just gorgeous!
Thanks again Jini for this amazing polish!

china glaze - pool party
Last month at Sally's, you got a free bottle of China Glaze if you bought a bottle of Seche Vite.
Of course I used that opportunity to stock up on SV and get some free CG!
It was hard though, because I have pretty much all the good colors that Sally's carries... Haha! Here's one of the colors I chose.
China Glaze - Pool Party
Holy neon! Super fluorescent hot pink neon polish with a good formula, 2 coats.
Some people say wearing neons in winter is a faux-pas but I don't mind.
That being said, I didn't love the color. A bit too neon for my liking, maybe.
I added some black and white glitter to the mani!
I added one coat of Lynnderella - Connect The Dots and one coat of Ninja Polish - Sticks 'n Stones.
I like mixing the two polishes because I think it gives a nicer mixture of glitter pieces than either on their own.
Did you get any free CG at Sally's last month? What did you pick?

connect the polka dots
Good evening ladies and gentlemen!
My right hand wants some more attention so today's post is showing off a cute manicure I wore on my right hand only. Can't remember what my left hand was doing at the time... Probably something I felt was too complicated to duplicate on my right hand. Ha!
Tada! Looks a bit crazy but I really like it.
The base color is one of my favorite pinks, China Glaze - Dance Baby.
I added dots in three colors, China Glaze - Gothic Lolita, China Glaze - Bahamian Escape, and Essence - Viva La Green.
On top, as I'm sure you can see, I added Lynnderella - Connect the Dots.
I love pastels and adding the black and white glitter on top is really eye-catching.
I should do this again as a full manicure... Haha!
Before I go... I want to tell you something extraordinary.
It is more than halfway through December... And I have only bought 4 polishes!!!!!!
GO ME.

blu jelly?
I few weeks ago I played around with some jelly sandwiches. I wore the same blue jelly on both hands with different glitters sandwiched on each hand.
One turned out really cool, and one just so-so. I'll show them both today!
This is the so-so combo.
You're looking at OPI - Rainbow Connection sandwiched between coats of China Glaze - Ride The Waves.
Some of the colors of the glitter didn't look so cute inside the blue but overall it was a cool look!
Now for the cooler but poorly photographed one... (I really didn't have the right-hand photo magic going on this day, apparently, because these are funny!)
Okay maybe the first picture is not so bad.
This is Lynnderella - Connect The Dots inside China Glaze - Ride The Waves.
I really love how the white glitters turn blue and the shimmer still shows through.
Verdict: Connect The Dots is really cool in jelly sandwiches but Rainbow Connection not so much.
Do you like jelly sandwiches? U jelly?

connect the... diagonal neons?
Afternoon everyone!
Here's the mani I mentioned in yesterday's post about Lynnderella's Connect The Dots - a fun neon mani with CtD on top!
Tada!
I think CtD is best over a neon color... And even better over two of them!
This mani started out with two coats of Julep - Hayden, one of the few Julep colors I love.
I then painted half my nail with Color Club - Poptastic, which I had to do 2 coats of to make it even.
I added 2 coats of Lynnderella - Connect The Dots on top.
And this fun neon mani was born!
I got a ton of compliments on this mani just because it is so eye catching!
Several people were really confused as to how I "did" the black and white - they don't believe it's just glitter.
What do you guys think of neons + black and white glitter? I basically can't get enough.

Lynnderella - Connect The Dots
Hey everyone!
I neglected posting all day today just because I'm lazy so I decided to do a quick little post before I go to bed so I don't feel guilty for not posting 2 days in a row... Haha!
A few weeks ago I got a bottle of the infamous Lynnderella's Connect The Dots.
Black and white glitters are all the rage and there is really no questioning why. They're just so freakin' cool on your nails!
I layered CTD over two OPI polishes I wore just to try some layering combinations! I'll show those to you tonight along with one small comparison.
Lynnderella - Connect The Dots over OPI - I Don't Give A Rotterdam!
I loved this combo, the muted blue color really looks nice with the crazy glitter and added shimmer of CTD. I think CTD is best over bright colors but I like seeing it over more soft things for a change. It's versatile.
Lynnderella - Connect The Dots over OPI - Paint My Moji-toes Red
I tried out CTD over a coral red, seeing as coral/tangerine is supposed to be the color of the year, or whatever that nonsense is. As usual, it looks great.
My one complaint about Connect The Dots is the bar glitter. Good grief, the bar glitter likes to poke out of topcoats and annoy the crap out of me. I end up picking most of them off with tweezers in a few hours. They lie flat at first... And then go rogue.
You may remember my post before about Cover Band - Sticks 'n Stones, an amazing creation made to resemble CTD.
If you're not crazy about polish, you would probably think these are identical. But for us polish lovers, you can totally see how these are different when they're next to each other. and I love them both in their own way. I don't think I could part with one, like I previously thought I might.
Here's a quick comparison I did:
CTD has some pretty shimmer going on and overall more glitter, but overall smaller glitter. I also found my CTD to be pretty heavily white.
SnS has no shimmer, lots of big glitter pieces, and a pretty even black/white mix.
They give two different looks. You know, if you've got polish-eyes. I can't pick a favorite.
I saw this picture on Pinterest earlier and thought it would be appropriate for this post:
Photo from Like A Candy Shop. Soooooooooo true.
If this black-and-white-glitter-post wasn't enough to fill your glitter appetite, please head over to Chalkboard Nails and check out her massively huge comparison post.
Tomorrow I'ma be posting a neon CTD mani I wore last week sometime. It's a good one. See you then!

as seen on... I'm Feeling Nail-Venturous!
I've said it before but I'll say it again - Amy from I'm Feeling Nail-Venturous is a total sweetheart.
You may know her from her blog or from her amazing franken polishes. Either way, she's great. (And so are her polishes! I've previously shown you guys Floam and I am so delighted to say that there are two more on their way to me!)
Aside from being sweet as pie and making kick-ass polishes, she does all kinds of amazingly unique nail art. She's always up to something I would never come up with on my own. Such interesting combos. Of course I had to include her in my "as seen on" series!
Back in October, Amy did this really unique and cool looking combo. I knew then that I had to try it as soon as I got my hands on Gotta Love Brains!
Look, I tried to pose like Amy. Hahaha!
If you can't already tell, this mani involves putting crackle polish on a bare nail and then adding milky glitter over it!
Crackle on a bare nail is a pretty cool look! The trick is that you must wear a base coat or clear coat underneath because crackle polishes do not work without a layer of polish underneath.
I used all three of the same polishes Amy did:
Color Club - Clean Break (a white crackle that works!)
China Glaze - Crushed Candy (still a favorite crackle of mine but not working as well as it used to)
Lynnderella - Gotta Love Brains (pretty polish, but, nowadays they are not worth the drama!)
Amy's crackle patterns were much smaller than mine (and the stupid blue one needed some "help" cracking... I had to make some breaks myself with a dotting tool) but I think it looks pretty cool both ways!
Look at that massive glitter piece on my index finger! I kinda wanted to get it off because it looks awkward but it didn't wanna move once it sat there.
I can't wait to get my next two Nail-Venturous polishes, they might even be waiting for me when I return from vacation! Of course I will show them to you guys as soon as I can!
Now go check out Amy's blog and stalk her Etsy store for the next opening.

Lynnderella - Love Potion No. 99..... Again
Hey guys! I told you in my last post that I would be posting about this polish again, and I am true to my word!
I had to post about it again because this time I layered it over the best polish you could possibly layer this over.
It's a perfect match. I'll show you the underwear first:
Nubar - Violet Sparkle
This is pure purple glitter. As purple as purple gets. Hard to photograph correctly but I think I got it!
This is three coats for full coverage. This needs several coats of topcoat to be smooth because it keeps soaking up the topcoat!
I wore this alone for a few days and I liked it, but it wasn't amazing. I didn't know what to do over it.
First I did some stamping but that didn't turn out nice. And then I spotted my Lynnderella... And realized that they were a perfect match!
Please enlarge that photo. You need to. (And I'm really sorry for the awful cuticles - I was taking photos in sunlight (because we actually HAD some) and didn't realize that it showed how terrible my cuticles were!)
OMG. That's all I have to say.
I took more photos on the second day of wear so some of these photos have slight tipwear.
I wanted to get more sunlight pictures because my first ones didn't please me because of the dry skin, but the sun disappeared again. Of course! So I'm showing you a combination of artificial and sunlight photos.
I can't handle this! I love it so much I made myself some matching earrings and a ring.
It's a purple glitter party.
Are you loving this as much as I am?!

Lynnderella - Love Potion No. 99
Hey guys! You may recall that yesterday I said I was going to show you some awesome layering with Essence's Break Through.
Are you surprised that it's a Lynnderella?
Check out this awesome purple glitter party.
Lynnderella - Love Potion No. 99
Love Potion No. 99 is an amazing purple glitter polish that I can't really describe because it's too complex (as most Lynnderella's are.)
Just trust me (and the pictures) that this is amazing.
The glitter is a bunch of different shades of purple, and there is some small holo glitter, and the base of the polish is slightly tinted purple.
I can't handle this polish. I'm wearing it again today in a different combo and holy crap, it just gets better!
I'll post about it again in a few days or maybe even tomorrow. Yeah, two posts for the same polish.

rebecca's favorite polishes of 2011 - #9
Hey everyone! Ready to see #9?
Lynnderella - Gotta Love Brains is my #9 favorite polish of 2011.
If you've never heard of Lynnderella, she is a lovely lady who is selling her frankens to the masses! She has some seriously awesome creations. I got this baby in a swap with my Brazilian friend, Marilia!
It's hard to get your hands on Lynnderella's because she makes them in pretty small quantities.
Keep an eye on her blog to see her polishes and find out times of her sales.
Now let's see this polish in action!
Isn't this beautiful? So many cool glitters! And there is a purple shimmer running through the polish which makes it even more awesome. Click the photos to enlarge them and see them up close.
For these photos I layered two coats of Gotta Love Brains over 2 coats of Soulstice Spa - Manchester. Manchester is the perfect light gray base to layer this over!
I'm really stoked to have been able to get this. I have another Lynnderella on the way from another swap! Can't wait to get that one and show it to you guys as well.
Another great thing about this polish? It makes for a cool ring!
See all the shimmer? Love!
What do you guys think? Does this one deserve to be in the top 10?
And don't forget to check out Kayla Shevonne's #9 today! I wonder what she chose!
