Pretty & Polished - Party At Joes!

Hey guys! This post comin' atcha from a very busy Rebecca.
I've got a 10-page paper due on Thursday plus a 2-page assignment due on Friday so I am stressin' away, trying to get them done. (AKA I still haven't started the big one.)

Of course, posting on my blog is a welcome distraction from my work. So here's a swatch post!

Pretty & Polished - Party At Joes!
Isn't this adorable?

Party At Joes has a sheer blue base and all kinds of fun multi-colored glitter in all shapes and sizes.
Shown here is three coats, plus a little bit of extra glitter-dabbing. I did have some trouble getting enough glitter onto the brush but that's normal when working with mini polishes.

I adore the shade of blue and I really had fun wearing this polish! I hadn't worn blue for a while and it reminded me of how much I like wearing blue. Haha. I'm weird.

Got a bunch of compliments on it, too! The square glitters are my fave.

I wish I had a polish like this in every color!

Pretty & Polished is available on Etsy, $8.50 for full size and $4.75 for minis!
And don't forget to also check 'em out on Facebook or their blog.

Pretty & Polished Breast Cancer Awareness Duo

Hey guys!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and despite the fact that October is almost over, today I have a post featuring some awesome BCA polishes! (I would have posted them sooner had Canada post not taken ages to get them to me... Ah!)

Pretty & Polished is one of my very favorite indie polish brands! The lovely Chelsea was kind enough to send me these pretty pink polishes for review and I'm very happy to be showing you them today.
The profits from the sales of this Breast Cancer Awareness Duo will be going to Little Red Door in Delaware County. I'm sure we all know someone in our lives who is affected by breast cancer so this is a great way to show your support. Way to go Chelsea!

Pretty & Polished - You Are Beautiful
This is a medium pink shimmering polish that totally glows. The shimmer is intense! And so reflective.

Definitely a color suitable for all types of polish-wearers - I would call this a "mom-friendly" type of color, but at the same time, it is shimmery and interesting enough to be fun for everyone!

And then of course... You add glitter.

Pretty & Polished - BCA
This is a glitter topcoat, packed with two sizes of pink holo hexes and tiny purple holo hexes! Of course I love anything pink and purple and then added the holo sparkle just makes this one great.

BCA also looks great over other colors. Check out Chalkboard Nails for a great swatch of BCA over a dark purple!

Pretty & Polished is sold on Etsy - the BCA duo is currently in stock, full size for $17 and minis for $9. Remember, Chelsea is donating the profits from these sales so you can feel good about buying some polish and donating to charity at the same time!

Don't forget to also check out P&P on Facebook and on their blog.

Hope you liked this post! I also recently bought five other polishes from Chelsea so you'll probably be seeing lots of P&P in the coming weeks!

Pretty and Polished - Party Girl

Hi everyone! Big apologies from me for disappearing the last few days. I am so, so sick, and so tired, and do not have the time or energy to be posting. It makes me feel like crap for missing so many days! I'm sorry.

I've been trying to get in touch with my specialist for over a week now to no avail, and I'm getting so frustrated! As some of you may know, I suffer from Crohn's disease, so I am a seriously unhappy camper right now. Ugh! Sorry for whining!

I figured I should let you all know that I am alive with a quick post!
And I've got a cute polish to share.

Pretty and Polished - Party Girl
This is an older polish from the lovely Chelsea at Pretty and Polished. I am happy to say that Chelsea is a friend of mine and it makes her polishes that much more special because I've seen her entire journey to Etsy-stardom! Hahaha.

This polish is no longer available but I'm showing it anyway because it's darn cute!

Multicolored holo bar glitter. I think the cute colors of the glitter allow it to not look "hairy" like some bar glitters do. Heh.
This is one coat of PG over OPI - Pedal Faster Suzi.

Without fail, this polish always makes me start singing this song:

I can't stop partyin' partyin'...

Okay, that's all I've got. Hopefully I'll find more time for posts in the next little while. Adios!

Pretty and Polished - Elvis' Pink Cadillac

Afternoon everyone! Today I have an "indie polish" to show you, from one of  my favorite people, Chelsea of Pretty and Polished!
Chelsea is a total sweetie and she makes some great polishes that she sells in her Etsy store.
Her polishes are really taking off so start stalking her shop!

Pretty and Polished - Elvis' Pink Cadillac
This is one of my favorite P&P polishes - a light pink jelly base with small and large black glitter! It's a really unique look.

This is three coats to build the pink base and I love the depth it gives with the different layers of submerged glitter.
But you can also layer it over a light pink to do less coats. (It looks great over OPI's Pink Friday!)

Pretty and Polished's prices are really reasonable - $8 for a full size and $4.50 for a mini.
This one is not in stock right now but it should be back soon!

I have two more P&P shades to show you in the future so keep an eye out for those!
