We're pleased to announce that Holly Ewing has been appointed as our new Distribution Director for our Beagle Street and OneFamily brands, subject to regulatory approval. Holly will be responsible for widening our intermediary distribution and driving new business to support our growth in the protection space. She brings a comprehensive understanding of the intermediary protection market and its current regulatory landscape. Her previous role was as Head of Intermediary Distribution at Aviva and prior to that she was Head of Intermediary Sales at AIG. Holly says that one of the key reasons she's joining the OneFamily Group is our emphasis on the role of people in our business, both as members of the team or as current or future customers. She adds that she's looking forward to contributing to our success and planned expansion. Welcome to the team Holly!

Our CEO, Jim Islam, spoke today at the Co-operatives UK Congress in Birmingham as part of a panel discussion aptly named "The feeling is mutual". Mutuals are good for the economy, good for workers and good for the customers they serve, yet the concept of a mutual society can be difficult to explain.
