Hello friends! I'm looking for any part time or full time work from the 26th August when I finish my current volunteering programme. I have skills in being a fully trained barista, gardener and hard-landscaper but open to anything. Do get in contact if you have anything available or know of any businesses hiring! Cheers, Rory

We had a great time this week welcoming the Spear trainees to the Quotacom HQ for another company visit! It is always inspiring to have the opportunity to collaborate with Spear Brighton and engage with their exceptional young trainees. Spear is an outstanding local charity that offers transformative 6-week programmes to empower young individuals to overcome challenges, develop crucial career skills, attain full readiness for the workplace, and secure long-term employment. The company visit is a crucial part of the programme as it provides trainees with a valuable chance to immerse themselves in a professional environment, connect with individuals who are already on a successful career path, and gain deeper insights into the operations of the host company. A big thanks to our Executive Search Consultants Alexandra Deacon and Charlotte B. for hosting them on the day! #Qlife #CharityPartners #GivingBack #MakeADifference #QCharity #ChangeLives

📣 Hello my fellow LinkedIn community! I need YOUR help! 📣 Do you know somewhere with entry-level roles not asking for lots of experience? Drop me a message if so... I work with young adults who are eager and committed to getting on the career ladder, and have developed the transferable skills, as well as work-ready mindsets and attitudes, needed in their new workplaces. I will soon be hosting a live interview event where employers will get access to our incredible pool of eager young people. Think: retail, hospitality, customer-service, care, warehouse, hotels/receptionist, or entry level roles in marketing, media, IT/tech, sports, creative industries, trades, admin etc.. Thank you! 🙌🏼

Young people today are facing an incredibly challenging landscape. The long-term effects of the pandemic partnered with the cost-of-living crisis, has led to long-term unemployment amongst 18–24-year-olds rising higher than pre-pandemic levels. One in ten young people not in education, employment, or training (ONS). Without the additional economic challenges, the young people we support in Brighton already face serious barriers getting into work, including a high proportion with mental health challenges. That's why we're doing something about it, and we need YOUR help... 👀 We're gearing up for the Big Give Christmas Challenge starting November 28th. Best of luck to the young people on the Spear Brighton programme who are currently preparing for their first job interviews. The Spear candidates joined us at the OneFamily office last week for "mock interviews" so they could find out what it's really like to attend a job interview. We were impressed by their enthusiasm, eagerness to take on feedback and general attitude to the world of work – your future employers will be lucky to have you! #SpearBrighton #JobInterviews #Volunteering

Assistant Coach at Spear Brighton 🚀

During our third week of the programme here at Spear Brighton, we focus on 'Professionalism' - what better way to do this than with a company visit! 💥 We had the pleasure of being able to visit OneFamily and their beautiful office right in the heart of central Brighton this week. What a warm welcome we received - we were given a tour and a presentation by Sara and the team which were brilliant. The opportunity also gave our trainees the chance to demonstrate their confident communication and build on their networking skills as well! 🚀
