I went to the mall the other day and came back with a shirt and then tons of toys for me, myself, and I. Just kidding. Three were for the kids but the rest were for me. ;) I got a few to add to my Toy Story collection. =)
I also had to pick up Pocahontas. I love Pocahontas. She's strong, independent, and brave. What more could you ask for in a woman?
Oh yea, and this is the sushi I ate for lunch on Friday. It looks (sort of) good but it made me so sick. =\
Have a gorgeous Sunday everyone. <33

Christmas Presents and After Christmas Sale Haul
I pretty much stopped receiving actual "gifts" (it's always gift cards or cash nowardays) from my family when I was in high school but this year I did get some pretty cool things. I got the Sephora Color Play 5 in 1 II Fashion Edition from my cousins and some Benefit BADgal Mascara from my auntie. I also got an orange Bebe shirt (I love orange!), a wireless mouse (needed this), perfume sample, hair clips, Skittles candy cane, comfy slippers, a "Cat in a Bag" from my little brother, and another handmade blanket from my sister (I got one as an early Christmas present too from my friend.)
My uncle gave us all these Android figurines with money attached.. I thought it was so cute! I didn't want to open it though since it's a collectible and all. =P
Lotso Bear (Click here to buy)- I got my Lotso bear from my boyfriend! He also gave me a sweater (not shown) and my third gift is coming next week. I haven't gotten all his gifts yet either because he's too indecisive about what he wants!!
Ted Baker Flap Front Leather Clutch (similar style here)- I got this gorgeous leather clutch from my boyfriend's mom. I've been looking for one so I was super happy to have gotten this. The problem that I have with clutches is that they're always either too small or have no pockets inside -this is the perfect size, contains a convenient pocket, and has the prettiest floral design. =)
Stuff I bought..
TheBalm Shady Lady Vol. 3 Palette (Click here to buy)- I got TheBalm's new Shady Lady palette. I have both Volumes 1 and 2 so I'm really excited for this one -they're the best "series" of palettes that I own!
Inside the palette.. can't wait to swatch!
The day after Christmas day, I woke up bright and early to go to Target. Surprisingly, it wasn't even that crowded and the sales weren't that great. I got a case for my netbook (only $10!), the Grown Ups movie (for my boyfriend), a cute ballet slippers ornament, Holiday themed marshmallows (around 60 cents?!), and a bunch of stuff from Target's $1 section for half off (only 50 cents!)
Pochacco earrings from Sanrio- I also went to the mall with my little sister which was INSANE. Just trying to get parking to pick up our order at CPK took 45 minutes -and that was to get into the reserved parking space for people ordering take out at CPK!
The Body Shop Wild Cherry Lip Butters- I used to love The Body Shop's Grapeseed Lip Butter but it got discontinued a while back. I stopped buying Lip Butters since then so I thought it was about time I give them a try again! I got two of the Wild Cherry butters since they were on sale for $2 (the other flavors were regular price though.)
I also stopped by Daiso to get some things like jars for Christmas cookies and prizes for the upcoming Valentine's giveaway.
I also stopped by Old Navy. The first ON store I went to didn't have anything but I hit the jackpot with the second store.
Faux-Fur Hooded Anorak (click here to buy)- I got this for around $18 (on sale for around $23 plus a damage discount (10%) and another extra 10% off.) which is a steal compared its original price of $79.50. It's not the most glamorous coat but it's warm and comfy enough to even sleep in.
Chain Pocket Striped Tee (Click here to buy)- I got these for around $5 each (original price $14.50) and I love them! I absolutely adore stripes so these were a must have for me.
Niners Tee (around $5) and Girls 3/4 Sleeve Waffle Tee ($7) (Click here to buy)- I got the Niners tee for going to games (even though I haven't been to one yet!) I also picked up this girls waffle tee because I loved the pattern and the cut. My sister thinks it makes me look like a little girl though.. =P

Long-Sleeve Scoopneck Tees- I got these all at the Gap for under $4 a piece. They were on sale for $7.99 and there was an extra 50% off discount on all sale items for "morning" customers. The discount was reduced to 40% off in the afternoon and I was the last customer to get the 50% off!
Ok that's it for my Christmas haul. Sorry if it was a little long.. I'd love to know what you all got over the Holidays whether they were presents or things you bought. Feel free to share. =)

Early Christmas
The other night, my friends came over to exchange presents for Christmas and we of course didn't wait until Christmas to open them! Above are the goodies I got. =) I got a D.Rose shirt, matching VS Pink Panties (like a P.J. Set!!), Toy Story Pencils, Toy Story notebook, Toy Story stickers, Toy Story tote, hair stuff, and a Bulls blanket made with lots of love. I was SOOOO happy with my presents! Thank you! <3
I'm obsessed with wrapping paper and ribbons so I'll show you pictures of those too. =P

Also, last weekend I picked up 4 plush toys (for myself) from the Disney Store. I've spent SO MUCH money at the Disney store this Christmas on others that I decided I at least needed to get something for me. I got Buttercup, Mr. Pricklepants, Dolly, and the Peas in a Pod and I love them all. I wanted Trixie too but they didn't have her. And the best part is I got these during the BOGO promotion!
I also got another Hello Kitty ring from Sanrio. This is a mood ring (which I've been looking for) in the shape of HK's head. I love it!! It's always changing colors.
Have you gotten anything for Christmas/the Holidays yet? And have you stopped to purchase anything for yourself lately?
Merry Christmas (Eve) everyone!! Thank you so much for supporting The Makeup Drawer and being a part of the blog. I appreciate all of you so much -have a wonderful Holiday. <3333

Christmas Wishlist (Surprisingly very short)
So I've shortened my wishlist for this year. I look forward to spending the day with family and friends but getting some gifts that consist of the following "things" wouldn't hurt either. I don't really care if I don't get everything on the list -it's more of a "to buy" list anyways as I can't live without any of these things. =P (Listed in the order of what I want most)
I don't often wear jewelry but if I had this, it would be a staple piece in my wardrobe (would it still be considered a wardrobe if it's jewelry?) Anyways, it just really fits me. I don't like fancy schmancy jewelry (with the exception of a gigantic rock on my ring finger) but other than that, I like to keep it casual. And I like this so much more than the standard Return to Tiffany Charm Bracelet that everyone and their mother, father, sister, and brother has.
Lotso Bear- $16.50
I GOT THISSSSSS!!!!!! =)
I don't think anyone understands how badly I want this bear. Remember when you were a little girl (or boy) and you wanted that "one toy" so badly for Christmas (or whatever Holiday you celebrate)? This is that toy for me. He's only $16.50 at the Disney Store but he's sold out everywhere -they don't even have a link for him on the site anymore! I'm kicking myself for not buying him when I had the chance. Two weeks ago, I was in the Disney Store and I literally just hugged him and carried him around the store with me while I shopped. I bought things for everyone else but me and now I'm so sad I didn't get him that day. Plus they were having a Buy One Get One Free promotion so I could've gotten him and another plush toy! =(
P.S. His tummy smells like strawberries. <3
I love TheBalm's Shady Lady palettes and own (and love) both Vol. 1 and 2 (see review and swatches here.) I just found out from the Muse the other day that Sephora already has Vol. 3 listed on their site! I love these palettes so much and have vowed to buy every single volume as long as they make them. I love these more than Urban Decay's Book of Shadows Palettes and that right there is saying a lot.
Benefit Bella Bamba Blush- $28.00
(Edited 12/24/10) I totally forgot to add this!! I've been mixing Benefit Coralista and MAC Oh So Fair Beauty Powder nearly everytime I do my makeup so Bella Bamba seems like it would be perfect for me. I've been wanting a pink blush with the "glow" of Coralista so I'd love to have this.
I bought a pair of the bear ones for someone for Christmas and I LOVE them -they're so comfortable. I don't even really care which ones I get and they only have the Lamb ones left online. I called many stores and they're all sold out in my size. They're so cute and comfortable and my gross, dry winter feet need these right now.
I just wrote about this -I love it. It smells like a sexy tropical smoothie for your body. I often get horrible headaches when I come into contact with most perfumes but I absolutely love this one. Even my perfume-hating boyfriend likes it!
What's on your wishlist for the Holidays? Have a lovely Thursday! <3

And now onto the next topic..
I was over at the Muse's this week just scrolling through her recent posts and then I spotted THIS and seriously since I've read it, I haven't been able to get it out of my mind! The topic today is washable, reusable pads. It's TMI time. If anyone is uncomfortable with people whoe share way too much info, STOP reading right now (for your own sake!! LOL) If not, keep reading. =)
First off, the idea of washable pads isn't new at all. Before disposable pads were ever invented, people way back had to use something right? Bleh.. I'm grateful I'm alive during a time where tampons are available. Now, let me say I've never used washable pads. I just wanted to write about my thoughts on them and hear anyone else's thoughts whether you've tried them or not. I have to say when I first read her post, I was so grossed out about the idea. All us ladies know how uncomfortable and grimy that time of the month can be and the thought of actually washing my own used pads really made me cringe. First off, I'm just uncomfortable with washing away blood in general (for instance, if I got a cut and had to wash the blood off my shirt) but this takes it to a whole different level. This is washing your pad for goodness sakes.
Second of all, period blood is different from "normal blood" you get from a cut. Period blood contains mucus and dead cells. Also, it seemed like such a hassle to have to wash my pads when I'm already cranky, moody, bloated, and totally cramping. I was also thinking, "How on earth can anyone even use these on heavier days like Day 1, 2, and 3?" I imagined that they'd soak through so easily. But after much discussion and comments back and forth on Muse's post, I learned that these have been actually more efficient and "held" more for some people. They're also supposed to be a lot more comfortable (think about it, cloth versus plastic-y pads.) WOW. I was totally surprised.

Another thing I was a little uncomfortable with is the fact that because these are reusable, if you're out and about all day, you need to wrap up the used pad and put it in your purse. Ok, that to me sounded really gross (and actually still does.) Seriously, a used, bloody pad mixed in with my keys, wallet, gum, tissues, and whatever other crap I carry in my bag sounds DISTURBING. Can you imagine if I was in class and meant to take out my notebook but took out the used pad instead?? Or if I was at the checkout line and I meant to take out my wallet but took out the pad instead?! That's something I'd totally do. Prior to hearing more about the pads, I just thought geez, I understand being "green" and eco-friendly but there's a fine line between helping the planet and completely going INSANE. Shouldn't recycling our bottles, using less gas (public transportation, carpooling, walking, etc.), and using reusable totes be enough??!
So after some discussion and whatnot, I was sort of having a change of heart. Honestly, it never occured to me where all of those pads and tampons we use actually go. My family and I are heavy recyclers and I thought that was enough. Disposable, used tampons end up in landfills. Now, can you imagine alllllll of those tampons and pads that billions of women use every single month/3 weeks. Damn! That's a load of bloody tampons and pads -pretty gross. However, with washable pads, those last months/years (depending on how well you take care of them.) I also started thinking about cost. Up front, the washable cloth tampons sound like a lot of money but in the longrun, they end up saving you the money that you have to spend every month.
I read this great review here about Paris B's "cloth pad" experience and after reading her thoughts, it really made me think about all the positives of using reusable pads. Honestly though, I don't know if I'm ready for cloth pads. I still don't like the idea of washing my used pads and carrying them around in my bag all day.
Also, I'm a tampon girl. There is another thing called a menstrual cup too. I'm not exactly sure how it works but it's washable and reusable. From my understanding, you basically "stick it in" like you would a tampon and the blood falls into the cup. When it's full, you pour the blood out. (Please correct me if I'm wrong about this whole process.) That makes me a little queezy but I've heard it's very efficient. Plus, it lasts longer than tampons and won't make you dry down under.
Washable pads are available on Etsy, Lunapads, and from many other places. Just do a Google search for "washable pads." For the menstrual cups, there's brands like DivaCup, LadyCup, and more.
So...... does anyone else have any thoughts about washable pads or menstrual cups? I don't know why but I've seriously been thinking about it all week. I really don't think I'm ready to convert yet but I'd like to hear your thoughts!
On a lighter note and something everyone can enjoy..
The 3rd installment to one of my favorite movies of all time is coming out next month! I didn't realize it was so soon until I brought in my brother's copy of LEGO Magazine. It's out June 18th and I can't wait. P.S. If you have any youngsters in your home or know anyone who loves legos, LEGO Magazine is free. You get it every month or 2 (I forget.) My 7 year old bro loves legos.
Some of his creations.
