Another of my friends from our Wednesday get togethers had this pretty card with the 3D quilt blocks. I thought I'd made one before - a long long time ago, but can't find it on my website... C'est la Vie. So I decided to make one now. BIG GRIN I'm extremely happy with the results. And a good way to use scraps...

MC Jan/17 - Easel Ring Out The Bells - ECD Happy Anniversary - What Greater Thing

I needed to make a sample using a 3D Xmas embossing folder in a non Xmas way... and pulled out this background paper I had made eons ago for a calligraphy piece that didn't turn out... so cut it up and glued it to the card.

MC Dec/17 - Snowflakes Tunnel Card - ECD Dec 25, Noel - Snowflakes Are The Fairydust

One of the gals brought in the Tunnel die cut card structure from Heartfelt Creations. She had circles and ovals etc. I came home and decided I wanted to make one with a snowflake... So I created a file with my SCAL software and cut with my Silhouette machine. The bottom layer is the actual snowflake and the upper 2 layers are blackout shadows of the snowflake.

I recently acquired a bunch of Carabelle Studio stamps. The one I used was called "Dance Avec Les Plumes". It's a humongous background stamp measuring approx 8"w x 9"h. I hadn't realized it was so big so I cut the feathers apart to be more usable...

And here's a left over piece from one of the Oxide backgrounds... This time I added hot glue squiggles and embossed them with Queen's Gold embossing powder. Love the technique. BIG GRIN

Tim's Wk 6 - Stencil Techniques - Inpiration - Laugh - Memories tags

 

Absolutely loved the refresher for the stencil techniques. So many good ideas. There are so many techniques out there you keep forgetting so many of them...

This week's challenge was to use 2 or more stencil techniques on one tag or card...

The first tag I created using the Acrylic Dauber monoprint. The 2nd tag I did a monoprint using Distress pads, and for the 3rd tag I used a 2nd generation print from that same Distress pad stencil with lots more water... Then I added various techniques to each tag.

MC Apr/16 - Quill - Mannequin - ECD Hello - The Secret - HB My Friend

 I love the Lorelei mannequin, the only problem is I don't own the stamp and it's been discontinued... so I'm left with having to hand draw it when I want it... Also love the lace background stamp by Harmonie and the button border and pin cushion from Flourishes, all are discontinued... sigh.

The little yellow flowers were made at one of my recent quilling sessions. I'm using one of my newest lace dies from Joanna Sheen - love them.

I sandwiched a lot of the elements between 2 sheets of Graffix clear plastic. I don't think I've done that before. Love the results.

MC Mar/16 - Easel Flourish Emblem - ECD Birthday Wishes - When I...

Card Closed

I really was in a mood to create a feminine very involved card... I kept adding and playing... Love the way it turned out.

I'm using a couple dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs "Birthday" (from "Happy Birthday" 2pce set) and "Wishes" (from "Best Wishes") also available on Quietfire Design Here and Here. Also using the Anemone die set and soft finish cardstock.

And while I'm using bits and pieces I decided to do the same with the quote and make one all my own BIG GRIN. Using the main part from Quietfire Design "When I Saw This..." and the little word "made" from "If I Had a Star..." using a stamp positioner.

I'm also using a bunch of various elements from my stash and some quilled elements from my last quilling session.
