I was creating all day yesterday and managed to finish 11 cards - but I wanted an even dozen, so got up this morning and finished the last one. The the rest of the day in photographing and uploading to my website and now my blog. Pheww - I think that was a marathon...

Love the card above... and I know who it's going to... BIG GRIN. I finally mixed up some Rheotech white gesso (which is more "liquidy" than my Golden gesso) and worked better than the Liquitex clear for this writing technique. Watercolors and salt and then the mistletoe. I'm still chuckling as I write this...
On this next card used the Molotow pen with the masking fluid, Then Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils blended with water, then added a graphite shading with paper stump. I'm very happy with the results.
And for this card below, finally used some of my Daniel Smith gold gesso. I've had the container since 2006, I don't think I've used it since then. The gesso was still great but the container was totally shot. I had to dispense it into another container...

I'm using a Molotow pen filled with Pebeo masking fluid for the card above. Love using the pen.
On the card below, cut out a stencil using Tim's masking sheets. This card is my favorite from all 15 cards that I created during this 3 day class. I love the background watercolors and the salt effect on them.
I took a 3day ZOOM class with Julie Wildman - these are some of the things I made during day 2
I used a clear liquid gesso on all 3, so my contrast isn't very good... I tried giving it more contrast with Art Alchemy metallic wax..

Today I played with filling my Molotov pen with Pebeo masking fluid and writing with it. I really like that technique. Now I just have to see how long my pen will last before it totally clogs up... The bane of my existence - things drying up when I go to use them again. Drives me crazy. Bloody expensive too. You wouldn't believe how many masking fluids I've bought.
The Joy card uses masking sheet hand cut as a stencil/mask and then a wash of watercolors. Also using the back side of Dreamweaver packaging (love that blue cardstock...)
