BVCG Env Exchange 2024 - Annette Wichman - Feb

On Columbia Mills End Paper. Juice Up pen in Vyaz style writing, hearts in colored pencils.

Went in a Celtic direction for the card using gold paint and text in Neo Orient Type lettering.

Scribbled Lives 2024 - Wk 5 - Universe - Albert Einstein

Size: 8"w x 7"h
On Canson Mixed Media paper sprinkled Brush powders (yellow, red & Ost blue). Used a 6.0 Parallel pen for the large word and 3.0 for the smaller letters. Shadowed the large word with a light blue Juice Up pen.

Funky Blocks - Happy New Year 2024

I came across this funky lettering lettering style in blocks on Pinterest...I expanded on the design by decorating either the letter or block of each letter and mimicking the style to create the numbers.

Each block is 1.5" sq. on Canson Mixed Media paper. Juice Up pen, Derwent Inktense w/c pencils, graphite, sharpie pen.

On Canson Mixed Media Paper  outlined my Celtic letter with a Juice Up pen. Colored with Derwent Inktense watercolor pencil (Field Green & Iris Blue) and blended with a wet paintbrush. Added some doodling and white gel pen highlights.

Jar WC Painting - Double Double

I've been meaning to play with creating circular art with jars and toilet rolls etc... Finally did!!

On Fabriano 1264 - 140# w/c paper applied w/c to the rim of my jars and pressed onto my paper and then moved the paint around with a water loaded brush. Used a fine Sharpie pen for the text. I LOVE these words from Shakespeare...

Greeting Card - DoodledOrnaments_Merry&Bright

I was in a mood to doodle and decided to make an ornament Xmas card. I really like the results.

On Canson Mixed Media paper using a Zig Writer created my ornaments. Used a Juice Up pen to doodle and colored pencils both Prisma & Super Ferby Metallic. Added a black border then adhered to a red 5" x 7" card base

Hanukkah 2023 Card

I don't make a lot of Hanukkah cards, but I was in a mood to create one for my aunt.

On Can Pro Marker paper using Juice up pen and Prisma colored pencils. Adhered to a red card base.

Celtic Alphabet - Gold J On Black

 

Size: 3"w x 5.75"h

"J" on Black Recollections cardstock using Kuretake Brilliant Gold Mica ink and a pointed nib (Brause #361) to outline my letter, Pilot Juice Up Metallic pens for the inner shading (gold for the outer string and a pink for the inner string). Pity it doesn't scan well... I used hash lines for the shading strokes. Gold Unibal gel pen for the dots.

Black Edition - Join Me

I recently purchased the 100 set Faber-Castell Black Edition colored pencils specifically created for black paper from Kensington Art Supply here in Calgary. So I wanted to try them on other colors and I love the results...

On Michaels Recollection Jewel cardstock.
"A" on the red outlined with a Signo gold gel pen.
"O" on the blue a Sakura Geli roll white pen.
"i" on the green a Signo silver gel pen
"n" on the purple a black Signo gel pen which barely showed up when dry so went over it with US ArtQuest Mica Color "Sepia Veil".
Cut the letters in funky shapes and adhered to black Paper Reflections cardstock. Outlined with a Juice It white pen, and wrote in the word "me"

Celtic G#2 & GH

Since I've done the G & H I thought I'd make a matching one (both on black) to the "G" since my initials are HG...

On black Strathmore Artagain using a silver Juice Up pen for the outline, colored with Faber-Castell Black Edition colored pencils green #766 & blue #708 and negative space painted with Close To My Heart Shimmer pen Gold.

PS I'm really liking the creaminess of these Black Edition colored pencils...

Celtic - G - Gold Leaf

Again I googled for a letter... inspired by this shape.

Size: 3.5"w x 3"h: On Fabriano 1264 Mixed Media paper using a Juice Up pen and Prisma colored pencil #911. Gilding with Roberson 80  Moongold 22k gold leaf.

It's been a few years since I've gilded... almost forgot how...

Image below is slightly distorted but shows the gold leaf shine...

 

Celtic "E"

I googled Celtic letters for an "E" and this one popped up I really liked it so did a similar one. That section to make it an "e" instead of a "c" was not easy at first...

I googled Celtic letters for a "D" and this one popped up I really liked it so did a similar one.

On Fabriao 1264 Mixed Media paper created the heart shape to write in my Blackletter style text using a Marvy 2.0 broad edge calligraphy marker. Drew in the red line heart with a Juice U pen and then wet the inner area for a heart and sprinkled with Bister red powder, touching here and there and adding more water etc. Sprinkled with Neuberg-Ebel Sparkle Bronze 52 powder.

Our group got a bunch of links for various Trefoils. So I was busy the other day going thru a bunch of uTubes.. This was the 3rd one I was inspired by... Now to find more time to see more of these uTubes...
I have to do this one again but larger so I can get a nice big blank hole in the center.
