On April 10, 2012, the State of Illinois Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability held a hearing on the closure of the Tinley Park Mental Health Center.  Administrators from the State of Illinois Division Of Mental Health described to the committee the plan in place to transfer the care of patients to community hospitals and mental health providers. The State of Illinois Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability will hold a public hearing on the proposed closure of the Tinley Park Mental Health Center April 10, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the  South Suburban College Athletic Field House,  15800 South State Street, South Holland, Illinois.  The Commission previously held a hearing on the Tinley Park Mental Health Center's closure in November of 2011.  To read testimony given at that meeting and to hear audio from that meeting, go here .
