Her Royal Highness

Here is yet another challenge for the Two Scrapbook Friends crop.  Ann challenged us to think of something that symbolizes England and use it as inspiration.  England is all about the royal family so here is my layout about our little queen.

Christmas Jammies

I am very happy to report that I have been scrappy the last couple of weeks. The best thing about it is that not only have I been working on DT stuff but I have also just been having some fun and doing my own thing. It's been great.

Anyway, here is one of the layouts I made not too long ago. A 2-pager even!! :)

And a closer look at each page.....

Thanks for looking! Happy Monday everyone!!

Oh, and on a side note, I am so thankful and impressed at the sponsors rolling in for Crop for the Cure. THANK YOU!!! Check out this post for the updated list.

Turtle Reveal!

Today is Reveal Day over at Scrapping Turtle. I am happy to be playing with the yummy Letterbox collection from American Crafts! Such an awesome kit this month and I have enough leftover goodies to make a few more projects! Gotta love that! YAY!!

You may remember my sneak peek from the beginning of the month....

And here is the rest of my reveal...

First up is a layout about 2 of the best people I know - my parents!!

This layout is a little different for me. I don't usually do all the distressing but I love the way it looks! (Photo by Amanda Stratton)

The Remarks phrase stickers that were included in my kit were absolutely perfect for sentiments on cards. I think I will be whipping up a bunch more cards with the extras.

Thanks for looking!! And be sure to pop by the forum to see what the rest of the team has come up with!

Hello 2010!!

I have to say that I am not sad to see 2009 go. It was a really tough year here filled with lots of hardship and some sadness. I am ready to put it behind me and look ahead to brighter things for 2010. In doing so, I wanted to take a minute to wish all my friends out there a fantastic New Year! I hope the year brings nothing but blessings for each of you!!

Being the first, it is also Sneak Peek day over at Scrapping Turtle. This month I am playing with the super fabulous Letterbox collection from American Crafts and I love it. So yummy!

Here is the first layout I whipped up with it....

My last Reveal!

Well, for this term anyway! My six months as DT Coordinator at Scrapping Turtle is coming to a close. I did, however, apply again so fingers crossed!

Anyway, this month I played with the yummy Merrymint collection for American Crafts. Love these papers and I am so happy to have completed another batch of Christmas pictures! A huge kit this month so I went a little crazy with the layouts. (I think I even have enough left for at least one more layout).

Thanks for looking!

A Turtle Peek!

Today is September 1st so that means Sneak Peek time over at Scrapping Turtle. This is the last month of my term over there. Hard to believe 6 months have gone by already. It has been a blast and I have applied again so we will see what happens! This month I am playing with the Merrymint collection from American Crafts. It's fabulous and fun and I am hoping to get another year of Christmas pictures done. :)

Here it is....

Oh, and September is here so that means back to school time. I am not pleased about that. We are not actually starting with the students until next Tuesday but I do have to go in tomorrow and Thursday for Professional Development. I AM NOT READY!!! I like staying home and doing my thing and hanging out with Maya! :( Thanfully I found her some fabulous daycare where I think she will be well taken care of and learn and grow! :) And as for me, I know that for all of my complaints right now I will soon be in the swing of things and summer will be a distant memory. I am just not a fan of the anticipation!

I am off now to enjoy my last day before my return to work. Maya and I have castles to build and I have scrappy projects to finish! Wishing you all a fabulous day!!

Farm Fun

Every month Scrapping Turtle puts out a Mystery Kit. I love these things. Seriously, they are like goodness in a bag!! And, I am not ashamed to tell you that I have bought one every single month for the last 2 years (yes, I said 2 years) and I have yet to be disappointed!!

Here is my layout made with July's kit....

And just in case youa re curious here is a shot of all of the goodies that were included in this kit. I have lots left and will probably get another layout or two out of it. You get all of this for only $8.99. It's an awesome deal!!

Oh, and I am very excited to be going to my friend Kristy's wedding this weekend. It is a Muslim wedding and I am wearing an Indian suit to it. Tomorrow night is the Mendhi and I have a different suit for that and will be getting henna done on my hands. I figure I may never get a chance to go to a Muslim wedding again so I am excited to be doing it up right. I should have some pictures to share after it is all said and done!! :) I might even have some really good ones from the Mendhi I can share since Amanda Stratton from Living Proof Photography is shooting that and her camera skills are way better than mine!!

Puddle Jumpin'

Our product highlight this month at Scrapping Turtle is Stix2. Okay, I'll admit it - I had never used this stuff prior to this but I picked some up and played and LOVE it!! It looks fabulous.
On this layout, I used micro beads on my chipboard letters and brown foil on the tips of the butterfly wings. (The rest of the products are remnants from last month's DT kit using American Crafts' "Backyard" line)
To check out some more inspiration & ideas using Stix2 pop on over to the Turtle blog to see what the other DT members came up with! And, if you don't have any of this fabulous product yet, remember that the Turtle has it on sale at 15% off for the month of May.

Sneak Peek!!

I am so incredibly excited to tell you that I have made the Design Team over at Scrapping Turtle. Anyone who reads this blog knows that this is my favourite scrappy place. In fact, it is my happy place pretty much all around. I have never gone into the whole Design Team thing because I like to craft for myself but I took a shot and applied just because I love this place so much and was thrilled when I was accepted. Not only accepted but made DT Coordinator all in one fell swoop. (I think my fellow DTers might regret that decision when my crazy anal over-organized self rears its' ugly head. It's all good though - I have no doubt they will keep me in line!!)

So, today being the first of the month, I have prepared a little sneak peek of my full reveal. This month I got to play with the super adorable Backyard line by American Crafts. Love this paper! So fun & vibrant and totally pulled me out of the leftover winter funk!! I hope you like it and be sure to check back on the 15th for the full reveal!!
