This week we are being sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs.  One of the tougher challenges for me is using really bright colors!  I'm more of a muted, antiquey type of person.

I used the "Back to School Brittany" digi, coloring her with my Copics, and cutting her out.  The papers are from my favorite digital kits artist, Heather Jolly Digital Scrapping.  The paper is from the "Willow" kit and the tag is also from Heather, but from the "Friendship" kit.  The tag was blank and I added the wording, flower and the border, which I added the stickles too.  The lace is from my stash, ribbon is MLB "Zinnia", and the butterfly I got from my friend Elaine as part of my Xmas present.

Anniversary

For this weeks challenge we want you to bring out the romantic side of yourselves.  Let's see those wonderful anniversary cards. 

The digi that I picked out to use for this week is part of the set that I've used before called "Silhouette Hearts".  This one is the "Swan Hearts".  I printed it out on something I haven't used before (and don't know the name of), but will try to explain it as best as possible.  If someone can help me out here, I'd appreciate it!!  It's a white, semi-transparent piece of velum type of paper with thread through it. (Sorry, but that's the best that I can do). 

I had asked Heather to make a paper and embellishment kit off my shower curtain and this is what she came up with. I'm so in love with set and I'm sure you will be seeing more of it on my cards!!  It just seems like I never can get enough of her papers.  These are called "Shabby Chic", which you can find here.  I used 3 different papers from the set along with a bunch of the embellishments. The flowers are from Petaloo & Prima, ribbon and brads are stash.

 This is the inside of the card.  I found this little poem online, but oops...I forgot to write down the link.  Sorry.  Using the Gimp program, I put the poem in this journal, which is one of elements with this set.  I also added the buttons and flowers, also elements in the set.

It's the last Wednesday of the month, which means Sassy Studio Time!!  Here is my Sassy Studio card for this week.  It's called Romeo & Juliet.  The papers are from MME and the rest is stash.  I did something a little different for me and cut out the hole in the front of the card so that you can see the digi inside the card from the outside.  This is another first for me!!

I used the same paper for the die cut in the insdie of the card as I used for the outside of the card.

I used Pedi Party digi for another Sassy Studio Designs card.   I'm hoping that this card is good enough for a GDT spot at Sassy.  The challenge is to use the 4 B's (brads, buttons, bows & bling).  I forgot about the button and bow part and had to add them after..oops.  Sorry...I'm not much of a buttons and bows person.  The papers, ribbon, bow (well, actually all the embellishments) are from my stash.  You can say this is a "Stash Card". ha ha...I followed the sketch from Sketches by Carly.

Can't believe we are on week 5 already!!  I hope you all are enjoying it.  This week we want you to use either a summer theme or bright colors.  For this card, I went with both.   As soon as we got the challenge theme, I knew which digi and papers I wanted to use.  The digi is "Kate With a Frog", which you can only find at Kelley's Kids, on Stitchy Bear Stamps and the papers are from Heather Jolly called "Sherbert".  You can find all of Heather's papers here.  The best part of all is that all of Heather's paper kits are free to download!!

I used the "Daisy Patch" Shapabilities die to and added some pink and red distress ink to it so that it would bring it out a little.  I also added stickles to the embossed flower parts.  Then I cut out Kate and put her on another paper inside the Daisy Patch frame.  All the embellies are from the same kit as the papers that I printed and cut out.

Here's my second card, following this weeks theme (the bright colors part), using a Sassy Studio image.  The digi is called "Back to School Brittany".  Once again, the papers are from Heather Jolly.  I just can't seem to get enough of her kits!! This kit is called "Punkberry" and it just came out, so go check it out. 

I used 4 different papers from the pack.  On the first layer, I used a pink paper that I distressed and ink the edges in pink.  The second layer, I also distressed.  The next paper I used the "Crown Circles" Nesties die on and the last paper is the butterfly.  I cut out a couple of them and stacked them, folding the top one up and added stickles.  All the embellies are also from this kit.  I added the "Happy Birthday" saying using the Picasa program.  I cut a small slit in the envelope and stuck in the metal heart.  It has a hole at the top to add a jump ring and chain for a great present.

Ha ha..I just realized while posting this, that both cards are birthday.  That was totally accidental...

 I've used Sassy Studio digi's tons of times when they've sponsored a challenge for the DT I happen to be on, but have never actually entered into one of thr challenges, so I thought it was about time that I did.  I used the "Freckled Lemonade" digi with a mix of papers from Heather Jolly called "Sherbert".  I know I just used these about a week or so ago, but can't help it!!  As soon as I decided to use this digi, these papers just spoke to me.  I added some flowers, clear beads, and bead strings to finish it off.

This week we want you to use black and white plus one color.  I made my card for a friend of mine who just found out she is pregnant.  Her favorite color is green, so that was my color.  She's also the one that made the papers for my card.  I had asked to make them for me, so she named them after me!  How cool is that?  You can find them by clicking on my name Renee.

I tried to keep it simple, by only adding a few rhinestones and a couple of flowers and some ribbon.

Thanx to Netty for her wonderful sketch.  She did a great job with it, don't you think?  I got this way too cute digi to work with.  I colored her with Copics and added stickles to her jewelry (but you can't even tell).  Everything is from the never ending stash of scraps.  The bg paper doesn't have a name on it, so I don't know who it's by.  The princess word is a punch that I overlayed on a piece of scrap paper cut using the "labels" punch.

Another Monday, another Incy Wincy challenge. (Woo hoo!!  One more week until vacation.  Here's a little hint as to where I'll be-no more TX summer heat for a week).

We want to to lavender and lace on your cards this week.  The lucky DT got to play with images from Sassy Studio Designs.  I picked one called "Victorian Lady".  I colored her dress in shades of Lilac (shhh-don't tell) and stacked her on papers in shades of Lavender.  The plain paper is Bazzil and the pp is from Nicecrane Designs. 
Ignacio was nice enough to change the Victorian Textures Paperpack into the same papers only in shades of Lavender.  You can find them here.  He really is the best for doing this for me.  I couldn't find papers to match the Victorian girl digi I used, so I just asked and ***poof***...done.  He even added my name to the card for me.  Doesn't he just rock?!! And I'm just that good!! haha...
