CDAC progressive Challenge #7 Nov 15th

This is the 7th week of the CDAC Progressive Challenges.  I picked my digi from Ginger Loft called "Bailey with Honey Bees".  I did one like this while ago for a DT that I was on last year.  I liked the way it came out so much with the yellow & black, that I did kind of the same thing again.  The butterfly is from Jenny Bowlin and the paper is from Floppy Lattes Digital Designs.  The little bee on top of the tree is from the other digi that I printed out from Ginger Loft, colored and added stickles to the wings.

For the inside, I added paper from Fred-She-Said, that I got from another DT that I'm on.  I also I used another digi that we could pick from.  The sentiment is from Sending Treasures.  I think it fits perfectly!!

Paper Craft Journey GDT
Embossing

As promised, I'm back for my second GDT spot for Paper Crafting Journey.  Sponsoring the challenge this week is Just Some Lines.

For the challenge this week, it's all about embossing.   I used the "Gab in the Groove" digi.  I  got to use my new papers from K & Co called "McKenna" with the dry emboss technique using Tim Holtz's distress ink in "Antique Linen" on all the edges of the papers.  I can't wait to use more of my new papers!!  The flowers, bow, lace, and pearls are from my stash, and the tag I got from my friend, Elaine.

Kelley's Kids

Tammylee wanted us to show off some of Bonna's new digi's.  I was given the one called "Romanica".  You can find this one and many others at the new Kelley's Kids Store.  I wanted to make something new, so I tried my hand at making a Tri-Shutter Card.  You can find the directions at Splitcoast Stampers.  The papers, swirls and birthday tag are from my friend, Elaine.  The ribbons is from my scraps, the brads are from old kits (don't know which ones), the flowers are from Darice "Delphinium Petals" and the pearls are from Kaiser Crafts.  I added At You's "Spica" pens to her socks and the black lines in her wings.
 Here's some close ups....

Kelley's Kids Aug 31st Challenge #5 Summer/Bright Colors

Sept 3rd
Kelley's Kids
Challenge #5
Summer/Bright Colors

Can't believe we are on week 5 already!!  I hope you all are enjoying it.  This week we want you to use either a summer theme or bright colors.  For this card, I went with both.   As soon as we got the challenge theme, I knew which digi and papers I wanted to use.  The digi is "Kate With a Frog", which you can only find at Kelley's Kids, on Stitchy Bear Stamps and the papers are from Heather Jolly called "Sherbert".  You can find all of Heather's papers here.  The best part of all is that all of Heather's paper kits are free to download!!
I used the "Daisy Patch" Shapabilities die to and added some pink and red distress ink to it so that it would bring it out a little.  I also added stickles to the embossed flower parts.  Then I cut out Kate and put her on another paper inside the Daisy Patch frame.  All the embellies are from the same kit as the papers that I printed and cut out.

The winner(s) will receive:
1st place 3 images of choice
2nd place 2 images of choice
3rd place one image of choice
If you use one of Kelley Kid’s images you will get one extra image of your choice. So play with us with Kelley Kid’s.
Winners must contact us within 7 days of being selected to claim their prize

And we have a surprise for you!!
On the last Wednesday of every month, Sassy Studio Designs will be sponsoring us and is giving one lucky winner your choice of 4 digi's!!  How cool is that??

Here's my second card, following this weeks theme (the bright colors part), using a Sassy Studio image.  The digi is called "Back to School Brittany".  Once again, the papers are from Heather Jolly.  I just can't seem to get enough of her kits!! This kit is called "Punkberry" and it just came out, so go check it out.
I used 4 different papers from the pack.  On the first layer, I used a pink paper that I distressed and ink the edges in pink.  The second layer, I also distressed.  The next paper I used the "Crown Circles" Nesties die on and the last paper is the butterfly.  I cut out a couple of them and stacked them, folding the top one up and added stickles.  All the embellies are also from this kit.  I added the "Happy Birthday" saying using the Picasa program.  I cut a small slit in the envelope and stuck in the metal heart.  It has a hole at the top to add a jump ring and chain for a great present.

Ha ha..I just realized while posting this, that both cards are birthday.  That was totally accidental...

Don't forget to check out all the DT's work and leave them some love...

Challenge #1
Anything Goes

Hello All and welcome to the very first Kelley Kids Challenge.  For the first challenge, we are going to make it very easy for you.  It's going to be an "Anything Goes" challenge.  And Bonna's nice enough to give everyone a free digi for this first challenge, so make sure you check it out.  You will also find new images every week, so keep coming back!

For my first card for this challenge, I used the "Startlite Leo" digi.  I thought it would be a good place to start since our first challenge is on the 3rd and my sisters birthday is on the 14th.  I colored her with my Copics, added stickles to the sign and her wings and then added the butterfly and pearls.  There are two different sets of stamps for the sayings.  The birthday one is from Stamp Affairs and I'm not sure where the other one is from.

The winner(s) will receive:
1st place 3 images of choice
2nd place 2 images of choice
3rd place one image of choice

If you use one of Kelley Kid’s images you will get one extra image of your choice. So play with us with Kelley Kid’s.

Incy Wincy Challenge #102 Sketch

Incy Wincy Challenge
Challenge #102
Sketch By Heather

This week we have a sketch for you.  It's by our very own Heather.  We are being sponsored by Dustin Pike for this challenge.  He's a master cupcake maker, as you can see by all the DT cards.  Prize is a $10 gift card to his store.

For my card, I went with some birthday papers from KOI memories.  This is one of the first boy birthday cards thats I've made.  The star is actually a key chain from a local radio station.  I thought it fit the theme.  I stamped the birthday stamp on a scallop oval then cut it in half to fit on the card.

Recipe:  digi-Dustin Pike "Sheriff Cupcake", paper-KOI Memories, dies-circle and scallop oval, ribbon and metal pieces-stash, stamp-lost the tags for it, so I don't know who this is from, ink-Rubber Stampede

Sugar & Sweets

Prize-$10 gift card to the store

Hope everyone had fun on last weeks blog hop and got some great ideas from the DT.  A BIG congrats to those who won a prize!!  For those of you who didn't, there's always another chance in our weekly challenges.
This weeks challenge is all about sugar and sweets.  I have to admit that at first I was a bit confused about this.   (noise) wrong answer-guess again!!  It's about food that's sweet to the taste.
We got a choice of digi's from Digi Doodle Shop.  I picked this guy called "Special Delivery".  I've gotten pretty good at making the Spring fold card, so that's what I decided to make for this one.  After coloring him, I cut him out and stuck him on my new die, "crowned ovals".  I off set him, as I'm not much of a symmetrical person, added 3 color rhinestones and some rubon's.  The paper's are from MME's "Love Me Do".  I added stickles to the top of the cupcake, but you can't tell in the picture.

Kelley's Kds DT Call

Kelley's Kids DT Call

Kelley's Kids is having a DT Call and this is the card that I made for it.  I hope it's good enough.  I made this card for my nieces birthday.
I used the scallop circle to cut her out.  The papers are from Basic Grey's "Lemonade" line and the ribbon around the edge of the card is from SEI's "Mimosa" set.  I stamped the Happy Birthday in bright pink ink and popped it with a black marker.  The final touch is the flowers in the corner.  They're from Prima and the brads in the middle are American Crafts.

Sexy Pinup Series

Here's my newest card using this new series.  I made the card for my step dads birthday on the 14th.  Hope my mom doesn't get too mad...hehe.

I didn't want to add any embellishments to take away from the picture itself.  All the lipstick prints are just digital embellishments to add to the picture.  Too bad I don't own any lipstick, I'd do it to the card ;)

The outside I distressed with distress ink in tea dye and the inside was printed off my computer.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Kenny K's #44 Retro

8 May 11
Kenny K's
Retro Theme

My husband wanted me to make a card for his dad's birthday this week.  He picked out this digi, so I decided to wait until Sunday to see what the challenge was.

Question of the week???
How do you make a birthday card for a 81 yr old guy, using a rockin' biker chick and a retro theme?

Answer--Not sure, but this is what I came up with...

Recipe
digi-Kenny K "Biker Girl", paper-Heather Jolly "Cucumber Salsa"

I found this site where I got the paper.  It's called Digital Scrapbooking Freebies by Heather Jolly.  You can get the link to her site here and the page to find this paper here.

Birthday Card

Here's a card I made for my friend after she saw the card that I made for the Incy Wincy challenge back on Jan 31.  I had sent that card to my niece for her bday in Feb, but told her I would make one like it for her.  It's for her nephew's bday.  She wanted me to add Pittsburgh Steeler's colors to it, since he is a huge fan.

I found the Pitt stuff at http://peachykeendesigns.blogspot.com/2009/02/pttsburgh-steelers-kit-09.html.  It was free to download, if anyone is interested.

The monkey is from Digis With Attitude.

One Stitch At A Time Challenge

Challenge #53-Glitter & Gems
 13 March 11

Ever since Stitchy Bear Stamps sponsored Incy Wincy, I have been totally addicted to the digi's and papers. I use them constantly on alot of different challenges.  I hate to admit is though, this is the first time that I used them in this challenge.
I am getting lazy. I wait till the end of the week and then combine the challenges I want to do into one card because I'm getting backed up on cards that I haven't sold.  So that's what I did with this challenge.

Challenges:
Totally Stampalicious -use stamp w/beverage
Simon Says-birthday
Delightful Challenge-use green
Catch The Bug Challenge-Use Scallops

Recipe: papers-Crate Papers "Blue Hill" & Basic Grey "Wisteria", digi-Stitchy Stamps "Sudz",  die-scallop oval, rhinestones-"Creative Charms", flowers-K & Co and Prima "Sprites", green & diamond stickles, and the quote came from Bazzle.com.

I think I'm gonna put this one aside for my husbands birthday next month.  He'll be 54 (I think)..haha

Incy Wincy #83 For The Boys

14 Mar 11
For The Boys

This weeks challenge is all about the boys.  This is one of the harder challenges for me to do.  It's easy to be frilly and lacey, but a little harder to do boy cards.

We are  being sponsored by us, ATTCC, so the prize is a $10 GC to the store.

Recipe: paper-scraps, stickles, and beads
Here's a close up of the stickles and the beads.

Kenny K #35

This is the sketch to follow over at Kenny K's.  I really like the way it was put together with the pp's.  Unless I make a nicer card, I think I'm gonna give this one to my daughter for her "Sweet 16".

Meljen's Designs Challenge #46

Challenge #46
Birthdays

Since there are two birthdays in Feb and there was one in Jan. on their design team, Meljens is all about celebrating birthdays this week.  So here's what I came up with for this challenge.  You also had to use words on the card.  No blank cards for this challenge.

I think I finally got my mojo back.  Part of it's because we are almost done with the bedroom and bathroom remodels, although it's still a pain in the butt to get to anything.

Recipe: digi-Meljen's Designs, paper-(patterned) Bearly Mine DesignsStitchy Bear Stamps (Panda Bear Designs), scraps-rhinestones & ribbon.
