Ridiculously Red

Hello All,

For today I am playing along with Crafty Gals Corner, Creative with Stamps, Watercooler Wednesday Challenge, Tuesday Throwdown and Addicted to Stamps and More. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

This red love card has lots of elements and textures. Examples of this would be glittery 'love' to the layered die-cut and the designer paper in the background.

This monochromatic card has brown as its dividing color. The scallops on the heart would be one example. The shadow from the patterned paper on the background would be another.

I layered the diecut with the outermost die being a reflective red color. I stamped the heart and heat embossed brown. The sentiment is from a scrap piece of red adhesive glitter in which I inlaid a tiny brown die-cut heart.

Wintry Snowflake

Hello All,

For today I will be playing along with Hand Stamped Sentiments, Shopping Our Stash, and Color My Heart Color Dare, Crafty Gals Corner. This card is full of sparkle, shine, and splatter paint with glitter. Here is my card for today, enjoy!

This is the card facing away from the light. It is very pretty with its offset base and beautiful sentiment. However, take a look at the following pictures and you will see it come alive with color, sparkle, and glitter.

The shine on the snowflake is so pretty. It is full of iridescent color and shine.
The sequins add a nice sparkle to the card.
It also highlights the beautiful foiled snowflake.

You can see in this photo some sparkle on the upper corner of the card. That is the glitter that I infused into the paint. The acrylic paint acted like glue so the glitter stayed put. It is present throughout the base.

Shamrock Layers

Hello All,

For today I am playing along with  Crafty Gals Corner, The Male Room, and The Card Concept. Here is my card today, enjoy!!

This card consists of five different DP patterns. Each layer was torn and then placed on the card. The color scheme was inspired by The Card Concept. The shabby chic inspiration photo led to creating a random layout. 

Above: Both green shamrock papers were perfect for all the challenges listed. It creates tons of physical and visual texture. Left/Below: This is showing the sheen of the medallion and the center of the card in the light. You can also notice the depth that was created using the ripped layers of the card. It was a pleasant surprise to see the final product.  Right/Bottom: I used two out of the three-layered die cuts for this card. It reminded me of Celtic shapes used throughout the region.

Forever in Time

Warm Fuzzies

Hello All,

For today I am playing along with Creative with Stamps, My Time to Craft and Crafty Gals Corner challenges. I have wanted to use this stamp for a long time. So here we go; my card for today, enjoy!

The background stamp is from Peddler's Pack.
The image was colored using Polychromo colored pencils.
I have learned to love this product because they blend so beautifully. 

I used the spotlight technique for the heart and then traced around the outside of the die and manually cut out the vellum heart. I do have a nesting heart set but the next size up was way too big. The black banner completes the sentiment even though they are from two different sets.

The black border looks so sharp against the colored stuffed animals. It frames the background so nicely. I also like the banner continuing under the heart sentiment. It all came together so nicely.

Summer Medley

Hello Everyone,

Today I am going to be playing along with The Color Throwdown, Creative Inspirations, and Crafty Gals Corner. Kids are out of school, days are getting longer, and I am so hot I feel like I am going to melt into the floor. Why not bring in the season with a nice fresh Summer card. So, here we go, enjoy!

I had this partially made this card for another challenge. I didn't make the deadline so I let it sit until another challenge came my way. The next week I see some challenges that would fit the bill perfectly.

Sunrays, yummy fruit, and the outdoor tablecloth are all things that scream Summer!
The fresh bright colors give this card an early Summer energy.
Love it!!

I felt a single pearl flower embellishment is what this card to finish off the design.
The flower is pretty but more importantly, it takes your eye to the sentiment.

Personally, I am not a big fan of Summer. Yes, it is brighter longer and warmer weather but that is what I don't like about it. Don't get me wrong a bright sunny day is okay every now and then but seriously it is way too much during the dog-days of Summer. By the end of this oppressive season, I am looking for any trace of Autumn. When I find it, I hold onto it in hopes for colder weather, clouds and shorter days. What I feel about Summer is probably what others think about Winter.
