New year is nearly here

Can't really believe that Christmas is over and we are almost into 2015! We had a quieter Christmas than usual with just Alice and her parents on Christmas day. We had a nice afternoon and evening with lovely gifts and too much food. No photos as we took family ones a few weeks ago when the Perth kids were here. We did miss them and they had a lovely Christmas in their home this year. Here are a few pictures of the boys with their gifts.

And the miss and Alfie, in a Christmas coat, on Christmas morning.

I received some lovely gifts this year. I loved this pouch and canvas work kit from Fiona. Thank you, Fiona. I can also show my gifts that I stitched this year from my secret Santas.

This needlecase was a kit gifted to me for my birthday by Fiona. I loved stitching it so much I stitched two more!

More celebrations

There have been some more lovely celebrations over the last few days.....not counting Christmas itself. Last Thursday the Wednesday night girls celebrated at High tea at the Hyatt. We had a lovely afternoon and there were gorgeous gifts too.

This was my gift this year. I must make me one now! I received the lovely decoration and zippered pouch above. We were all very spoilt.
On Saturday I enjoyed High tea again with the Friday night stitching girls at Parliament house. Heather took some lovely photos so this will be a bit photo heavy.

My gift this year were these lovely decorations. The second set are for me!!!
We also lovely seeing Fiona and David on Thursday night and Fiona made me this amazing little canvas work cutter holder! It is gorgeous and will be very useful.

Another little gift stitched earlier this year were these little cross stitch decorations. They are very small!

More parties

Wednesday was fun as usual this week, though extra special as the afternoon girls and the night girls had their Christmas parties. There were delicious treats in the afternoon and delightful Secret Santa gifts too. Diana crocheted these lovely hearts.

Paddy cross stitched this beautiful cushion.
Roni wowed us with this cute reindeer and tiny house.
We all loved Jayne's gorgeous elves!

Beth made this lovely little purse and I was lucky enough to receive it.
I made this pouch with hexagons and my liberty scraps.

It was just as special in the evening. We met for dinner as usual at the club and then exchanged our Secret Santa gifts. They were just lovely. Weren't we spoilt? The runner was made by Lyn, the teatowels by Deanna, the decoration by Jenny, the elf mat and coasters by Margaret, the angels by Anita and the pouch by Barbara.

I received all of these goodies from Judy and my gift is the one below.

It was all great fun!
