Shopping and on to golf!

After the exciting time in Melbourne, I flew home and repacked in about 10 minutes and headed to Barooga near Cobram for a few days of golf!!! Not me playing golf....of course! But first here are my goodies from AQC. I didn't buy heaps as there is so much already in my sewing room but couldn't resist a bit of shopping. Homespun had a good deal where you bought 2 mags and the 2018 Tilda calendar so had to have that. I love looking at the Tilda pictures each month.

We then drove for 5 and a half hours back to Victoria. The boys played golf on Monday and Tuesday and we ladies went out on Monday morning to Rich Glen Olive Oil for some morning tea and shopping. It was such a gorgeous house and lovely gardens.

In the afternoon we went for a walk along the Murray river.

On Tuesday afternoon we headed home and were very slowed down by hundreds of steers and cows (and horses and goats) grazing along the road. We really were in the country.

Foxley Village finished!

I can't believe that this quilt is finally finished. Lots of binding happened here last week! I am just amazed at the beautiful quilting by my very talented friend, Robyn, of Plain and Fancy. The quilting adds so much to the final presentation of the quilt. Thanks too to Natalie Bird for the lovely design and to Tilda for the great fabrics. The pattern was a BOM in the Homespun magazine in 2016.
Click on these pictures to see the quilting details.

Here is my label for the quilt.

In My Garden, block 1, a label and the new Homespun

So exciting to be able to share block 1 of  the "In My Garden" BOM. I just love the way it has turned out even with all the needle turning! I must admit I really enjoyed making this block and am looking forward to the next one. I do love being up to date!
I was also working on a label for my Crazy Christmas quilt and can now put it in the 'Finished list'! Hurray!
Sadly, (not really) the new Homespun came this week with the "Our Town" BOM in it. Block one is so lovely and is designed by Anni Downs, whose designs I love to stitch.
So so tempted! I haven't the correct background fabric and am hoping Hobbysew might get it in! Might just have to find a different one to use so I can start NOW.
The other tempting thing about this project is that is uses "Wild Rose" by Blackbird Designs and I do love this range. We have it at Hobbysew and I have been collecting a little stash of it....just because!

Some new fabrics

Had a lovely surprise in the post this week. These fabrics, from the In the Pink 2 range, came from the US. I am collecting them to make the parts of the Block of the Month called "Breast of Friends" in the "Homespun" magazine No.68. The first block is by Leanne's House and is a lovely block. I am NOT starting it yet though am tempted! I might get to it once all the blocks in My Home or Yours are finished and a few other UFOs are put together.

This is Leanne's block.
