Christmas

We enjoyed our Christmas celebrations very much. All the prep was tiring but worth the effort to see the happy children on Christmas eve and day. This year we did afternoon tea and easy dinner on Christmas eve and then had a special meal in the evening on Christmas day. It was lovely to have Ma with us this time.

The weather was lovely and the pool was very popular as was sitting in the shade outside.

Happy Christmas

I forgot to wish all of you a happy Christmas in that last post. I hope you have had a lovely time of celebration with your family and friends. It has been special here though I must admit to being very tired tonight! We celebrated here at home this year and had Ma come to stay, which has been a delight. She is a bit incapacitated at the moment as she has a problem with her knee that means she has to stay off that foot! Crutches and a wheel chair make life a little difficult for her. On Christmas eve we had presents and dinner with our family and Ma too. The presents were a bit of a riot as the little people were very excited.

The little men are not easy to photograph these days so there are less pictures of them.

Love this one of Ma and little Jack. He was such a good little fellow at his first Christmas.
Today we headed to church and then hosted Christmas lunch for us and the Lamonts too. Some of the children had a lovely swim before lunch. We had far too much yummy food!

Christmas Gathering

Fiona and I had a lovely weekend in Melbourne attending the Christmas Gathering with Leanne Beasley and Gail Pan. We flew to Melbourne on Friday morning and then headed to Glen Waverley where we  headed to the shops for a delicious lunch. We just had to have a glass of champers too!

Food in Melbourne is always special and this taster plate was delicious. We also enjoyed a bit of retail therapy.
The next day was a delight. We headed into the room to be welcomed but this reindeer, candle, a bonbon and our bag of kits.
Here we are ready for a day of stitching. We shared the table with the ladies in the picture below. I missed a couple of them in my photo which was a shame.

Here is the room full of excited ladies.
Gail and Leanne showed us the 2 projects and then we enjoyed a day of chatting, stitching and eating.
Here are the 2 kits that were in our bag.

As always the room was full of inspiration with lots of Gail's and Leanne's samples everywhere.

It was a lovely day of Christmas delights.
Morning tea was this lovely gingerbread man, lunch was a delicious array of savoury and sweet food and afternoon tea was a yummy truffle.
What a special way to spend a day.
