Taylored Expressions November Blast from the Past Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome to the Taylored Expressions November Blast from the Past Customer Blog Hop!!!! You are going to find sooo much inspiration along the hop...each project will feature Taylored Expressions Stamps and products. I just love the little cuppies...they are soooo cute and fun to color!!! The theme this month is fall/Thanksgiving and we have a sketch by the wonderful Sankari Wegman to use as an option.

The adorable cuppie image from A Year of Sweets 3 was colored with copics, cutout, and adhered to the long scalloped Nesties background that was sponged with Pumpkin Pie. The sentiment from A Year of Sweets Sentiments was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa. Buttons, twine, twill ribbon, and the metal leaf were the finishing touches.

Thanks for joining the hop today....hope you have fun and find lots of inspiration!!!

The November Dirty Dozen/Dirty Dozen Alumni Challenge

Good morning everyone!!! The November DD/DDA challenge, hosted by Sharon Harnist (StamperSharon), is to make a Thanksgiving table decoration or a thank you for the hostess of the thanksgiving dinner. The only *twist* is to use a heart somewhere on the project. I spent off and on all day on this thank you card....I couldn't seem to make up my mind about the paper, layout, image...I can't believe I actually finished this!!!

The Lockhart image from Ellen Hutson, LLC was stamped with Memento Black and colored with copics. I added crystal effects to the globe to make it look like glass but it is difficult to see in this picture. Summer Sun and Pumpkin Pie were sponged in the background and I added the little dark green crystal heart to the sentiment.

The close up shows the shine of the globe. The scalloped cardstock is from Brazzill and the papers are from Stampin Up!, Daisy D's, and K&Co. The sentiment is from the Girlfriend set by Crafty Secrets.

The rust colored ribbon from Hobby Lobby and the Primas, button, and paper leaves are all layered together with glue dots. I borrowed the idea to tie a bow with the twine through the button from Amy (Pickletree)...thanks, Amy, for the inspiration!!
Recipe: Stamps: Lockhart, Crafty Secrets
Paper: Brazzill, Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, Daisy D's, K&Co., Stampin Up!

You will never guess what her special request was ....she wants us to stop at Panda Express and pick up Orange Chicken and rice...I guess we can forget turkey and dressing!!! Have a great day!!!!!
EDIT: Ok, all you DD/DDA's...just wanted to clarify the time of this posting....the timer on my blog is off by about 3 hours. I had to set the scheduled post at 4AM for it to post at 7AM.....just didn't want y'all to think I cheated!!!!!

Wednesday Rubbernecker Blogger Challenge #8, Belli Challenge #41, and Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply #59

Happy Wednesday everyone!!! The election is over an now we can get on with our lives....stamping and challenges, to be specific!!! Today's Rubbernecker Bloggers Challenge #8 (RNBC9), brought to us by Bev Gerard, is to make a card with two or more folds. You can check it out on the Rubbernecker Stamps Blog. I decided to make a two fold card using the gorgeous Rubbernecker cornucopia image. I know I used it last week but I can't help myself!! I did change the design so that's gotta count for something!!

The Belli Challenge #41 found on Chrissy's (chrissyd723) blog is to make table decorations with a Thanksgiving or Christmas Theme. Since Sharon Johnson's (notimetostamp) Stamp Simple Challenge #59 is to make an Autumn card and
incorporate a button into the design, I decided to go with the Thanksgiving theme.

I made the Thanksgiving thank you card for my DD Holly (hbrown) since she is having our family over for Thanksgiving dinner.

The image was stamped twice with Memento Brown and one was colored with copics. The colored image was cutout and attached to the other stamped image with dimensionals. Crystal Effects was applied to some of the vegetables and dusted with Dazzling Diamonds. All the layers were distressed and the image layer was sponged with Ranger Distress Ink Scattered Straw and Lavender Lace. The sentiment, by Rubbernecker Stamps, was stamped with Memento Brown, too. Distressing and sewing was done around the background panels, they were attached to the folded sides, and then the image layers were attached to the left panel only so the card opens from the center. The ribbon is is from Strano Designs.

I also made matching placecards using the same Rubbernecker Cornucopia Stamp.

The images were stamped with Memento Brown and colored with Copic Markers.
I used the ticket corner punch on the corners, backed the vanilla layer with Chocolate Chip, tied on a ribbon, and added the kick stand. I used a piece of vanilla cs 4 x 1/2 inches. The bottom end of the piece was scored at 1" and then at 2". Adhesive was applied to both ends, the ends were attached to the back side as shown in the photo. fold at the scoring marks to form the stand.
Recipe: Stamps: Rubbernecker
Paper: Elegant Eggplant, Punpkin Pie, Daisy D's dp, SU dp, Vanilla
Ink: Memento Brown
Accessories: Strano Ribbon, SU Ribbon, Button, Hemp, Sewing Machine, Copic Markers, Dimensionals, Ticket Corner Punch, Crystal Effects, Dazzling Diamonds

Fun Day at Holly's on Saturday

This is the project we made at my DD Holly's yesterday. Two chipboard coasters were covered with paper and the edges were sanded smooth. Flourishes were stamped on the paper using one of Holly's CHF's stamps and Memento Brown ink. Two holes were punched on the inside edges of both pieces of chipboard and then the pieces were tied together with Chocolate Chip ribbon.
The sweet little Rubbernecker Indian Girl image was stamped with Memento Brown and colored with Copic Markers. I colored her hair to match Holly's! She was cutout and attached with dimensionals. The sentiment, also from Rubbernecker, was stamped with Memento Brown and layered on Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, and Sage Shadow. Orange rhinestones, punched Martha Stewart ferns, and scallops finish off the project. This was fun....thanks, Holly, for a great afternoon!
