Pease and Joy

Good morning everyone!! Hope you are all well and happy on this wonderful Saturday morning!! I am going to a church breakfast in a couple of hours....don't know if I can hold off eating till then. I might have to nibble a little cause my stomach is growling already!! It's not used to being abused in the morning...LOL!! Hopefully, I can get my Christmas tree decorated this afternoon and then start wrapping gifts....I can't believe I am ahead of the game this year...Whoohoo!!! Last year I was still buying gifts and wrapping on Christmas Eve....yikes! Anyway... I made this card a couple of days ago...the adorable little Penny Black bird image was colored with copics and mounted on two different mediallion diecuts. The paper is from October Afternoon and Stampin Up!. The sentiment is from Flourishes Christmas Classics set and the Spellbinders diecut snowflake and button with twine finish it off. ...pretty simple but fun to make!!

I made this Christmas card for a few challenges:
1. Bling it On - Christmas
2. Forever Friends Challenge - It's all Christmas
5. Raise the Bar - Christmas

Thanks for visiting...have a great Saturday!!

I made this fun card for the Free 4 All Challenge on Splitcoast...we were to be inspired by the sun. The temp was in the 80's here yesterday so I was ready to get out the summer stamps!! The sweet image from Penny Black's Beach Day set from Stamper's Dream was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear ep, and watercolored with Tombow Markers. The sun, sentiment, and shells at the bottom are from the same set. My poor little girl is all sunburned...I guess she forgot to use sunscreen!!!

Whoohoo!!! Da Mudder (Mothermark aka Cindy) asked me to make a sample card for her Teapot Tuesday Challenge on Splitcoast...I am doubly excited because she is featuring a teapot from here in Texas!!! A while back we were driving to Houston and drove by a huge water tank thingy that someone had made into a giant teapot. Don't ya know I yelled for my DH to STOP THE CAR...he thought I was having some kind of an attack!!! Anyway, I got the pictures and sent them to Cindy...I just knew she would have the same attack I had...LOL!!! Anyway....here is the link to the Teapot Tueday Challenge...be sure to check out the picture of the giant teapot, Cindy's story and the destination for this weeks cards!!!

My card features the girls from the old 1970's TV show Petticoat Junction...Penelope, Blossom, and Bea....The Penny Black image was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear ep, and watercolored with Tombow markers. The little flowers on the hats were popped up and sewing and piercing was done around the edges. Lace, felt flowers, button, and a scalloped border finish it off.

Sweet Thing

Happy Thursday everyone....it's just a little after midnight and I'm headed to bed. We are going to get up early before it's too hot to ride the horses. Sundance got a good report from the vet this morning....she is is good shape and just needs to fatten up a bit. Midnight is the queen of the pasture....Sundance lets her take the lead but she doesn't care much for the donkeys. She took a nip at the older male yesterday so now he gives Sundance a lot of room...LOL!!!

I ordered this adorable Penny Black stamp called Sweet Thing a few weeks ago from Stampers Dream and finally inked her up tonight. I had a little trouble with the little frosting balls on the cupcake (I tried to add a little sparkle with a glitter pen but all it did was darken the ink!!) so I covered up my mess with pearls....don't ya just love this craft!!!!! Mistakes are sooo easy to fix!!! I just love the My Favorite Things Die-namics dies, too....they are so fun and easy to use!!! I used the cloud die on the felt and the two large scallop dies for the scalloped layers. The Papertrey Ink Ocean Tides ribbon finishes it off.
Recipe:
Stamps: Penny Black
Paper: White, Ocran Tides, Prism Desert Coral Dark, unknown dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: MFT's Die-namics Cloud die and scallop dies, Felt, Pearls, White Gel Pen, Nestabilities, Sewing Machine, Copics

Thanks for visiting and I hope you get to do something fun today!!!

The Monthly Stamper's Dream Dreamy Challenge

Hi everyone!! We got back from Canton, Tx earlier today and I started working on this card. Then once Survivor started I could only work on it during the comercials. Did any of you watch the show?? I am sooo glad Bob won!!! Anyway.......I made this card for the monthly Stampers Dream Dreamy Challenge. The rules are as follows: make a card with mostly gray/black and add a splash of color with a little sparkle/bling. Because December weather can be gray and gloomy, let's brighten it up with a little color. The addition of a little white is ok, too. We are to upload the card to our blog or online gallery and add a link to the Stamper's Dream Blog. Use SDDC3 in the keywords section if uploading to Splitcoast. The winner will be drawn on Wednesday...check out Michelle's blog to see all the goodies!!
I used the adorable Penny Black stamp called Greetings from the Wise....stamped it with Basic Gray, colored it with an aqua painter and the BG ink pad, colored the hat with the Real Red marker and the eyes and feet with So Saffron and Yoyo Yellow markers. He was then cutout and attached with dimensionals. The branch from Impress Rubber stamps was stamped with Basic Gray, the snowflakes from the retired Stampin Up set called Bundle Up were stamped with Going Gray, and the sentiment from the retired SU set called Very Merry was stamped with Basic Gray. The layers were all cutout with Nestabilities, the dp is called Elegant from American Crafts, the Martha Stewart punched ferns were used around the sentiment, the ribbon is from Stampin Up!, and I added Dazzling Diamonds to the white areas on the hat.
Thanks for taking a peek tonight....I am off to bed!!! Maybe I can finish my Christmas cards and get a little laundry done tomorrow!! I will also finish decorating the dining room and the family room so I can upload more pictures. Don't ya just love Christmas!!!!!

The sentiment from SU's To You and Yours was also stamped with TWT, cutout with Nesties, and attached with dimensionals. The background paper is from SEI's Poppy and punched snowflakes, teal rhinestones, punched snowflakes, and SU Riding Hood Red ribbon finish it off.

Featured Stamper 96 and Double Dog Dare Challenge

Hey, everyone!!! I finally finished the Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoast and combined it with the Double Dog Dare Challenge I do each week with a wonderful group of SCS friends. Beverly (beestamper) was the hostess and she sent us a whole envelope full of goodies to make a card. I used the KI designer paper, the green Merry sticker, the ribbon and Studio G clear stamps (the trees and the snowflakes) that she sent.
The featured stamper this week was Anna (Annascreations)...WOW does she ever have a fabulous gallery!!! I decided to case her Country Snowmen card. I kept the same basic layout and Christmas theme but changed the colors, paper, ribbon, stamps, and added the trees and sticker. I also added the hemp to the ribbon like Anna did on her card. I used Stampin Up! buttons and the Joyful Peas stamp by Penny Black that I bought from Michelle at the Stamper's Dream. Have you been to Michelle's store yet?? She has such AWESOME stuff and I received my order within 3 days!!! Check it out!!!
I stamped the image with Memento Black and colored it with copics. I made the clouds with a shameful copy of Cindy's (Mothermark) cloud template and Bashful Blue ink. The round layers were cut out with Nestabilities, stamped with the Studio G snowflake stamp using Regal Rose. The tree images were stamped with Certainly Celery, cut out, and attached with dimensionals.
Thanks for visiting again today and I hope you have a great evening!!!
Recipe: Stamps: Penny Black and Studio G
Paper: Regal Rose, White, Wild Wasabi, KI dp

Featured Stamper #90

Today's Featured Stamper on Splitcoast is Kay (Speedystamper). She has a fabulous gallery with hundreds of gorgeous cards to choose from. After spending hours looking at her designs, this is the one I decided to case.
I stamped this adorable Penny Black stamp with Memento Black and colored with copics. The sentiment is from a Sparkle Clear Hero Arts set called Merry Always. The set came with red and green rhinestones...such a deal!!!
I kept the same basic layout and the red and white color combo. I added the blue, changed the theme, and added the ribbon.
I better go get ready for church...thanks for stopping by! Later today I will upload the project I made at my DD Holly's yesterday.
