And the Winner is.......

Hello everyone!!! I hope you had a great weekend and are ready to face another Monday!! I have been looking forward to this Monday because I get to announce the winner of my Taylored Expressions Release Week giveaway contest!!! I had asked what your favorite Christmas memory was....Random.org picked Sharon D. who said:

"I like how you made the shadows on the snowman card. Really makes it stand out...... My favorite Christmas memory is when my dad left us clues to follow & at the end we found a ping pong table for the family. Only time he did anything like that".

Sharon, please let me know how I can contact you and I will give you the info you need to collect your 100 Taylored Expressions Crafty Points that can be applied to your next TE order...how cool is that!!! Congrats!!!

I have a Christmas Card to share with you today...Christmas will be here before we know it!! If I start now I just might be ready by the 25th!!!

The poinsettias and leaves from the Taylored Expressions Peaceful Poinsettia stamp set were stamped with Versamark onto TE Premium Watercolor Paper and embossed with gold embossing powder. They were then watercolored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush watercolor pens. The poinsettias and leaves were all fussy cut and the middle poinsettia was layered with foam tape.

The background was cut with the Frame in Frame 2 Cutting Plate...one was cut out of TE Premium Watercolor Paper and one out of Metallic Neutrals - gold. The inside piece of the watercolor diecut was watercolored with a Zig Clean Color watercolor pen and the sentiment from the Rejoice stamp set was stamped with Strawberry Milkshake ink. The watercolored diecut was adhered inside the outer gold diecut and adhered to the cardbase.

The gold twine was adhered to the side of the sentiment layer and then the poinsettias were popped up over the twine. The pearls for the flower centers and the TE Snow Flurries Sequin Mix finish it off.

Thanks so much for stopping by..... have a great and congrats again to Sharon!!

Merry Christmas!!!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!!! I hope Santa was good to you this year!!!! We had our family celebration yesterday so Santa could visit all the little ones this morning!!  What a joy it was to have my parents and all my children and grands home to celebrate...we had mega amounts of fun, food, and lots of laughs!!!  I'll show you some pictures but first I want to show you a couple of the gift card holders I made.
The first one features the Mitten Garland die set from Taylored Expressions. The mitten was cutout of  the Simple Stories dp and the mitten band and snowflakes were cut out of Buttercream Frosting card stock. The TE Sweet and Simple Alpha -Upper and Lower dies were used for Holly's name and sewing, twine, and enamel dots finish it off.

The gift card was slipped in the mitten from the back.

I made this little purse to hold a gift card for the weeks Technique Lover's Challenge on Splitcoast.  ....this is the tutorial I picked.
The paper is from Simple Stories and I used Taylored Expressions Big Bold Christmas stamp set for the sentiment. The gift card is tucked into two slits cut with a die from the TE On Display Tin Insert and a hand written tag was adhered at the bottom.

The sentiment was stamped on Buttercream Frosting cardstock and cutout with a TE Postage Stamp Stacklets...the twine, ribbon handles,  and a diecut snowflake are the finishing details.

Pinterest Inspired Santas

Hello everyone!! Can you believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve!!! I'm afraid I still have one more gift to buy and I have to get groceries for our Christmas Eve party ....I'm sure I will think of a few more things before 6:00 pm on Dec 24th...LOL!!!
I did find a little time to get inky...

These Santa Gift Bags by Shannon White found on the Taylored Expressions Christmas Pinterest Board were the inspiration for my Santa card and ornament....

Taylored Expressions October Sneak Peeks -Sack It To You w/Bonus Santa

aren't these adorable!!!

For the card, I used the Taylored Expressions Mix and Match Bows and the Mini Mix and Match Bows dies for the mustache, beard, and nose.....the beard and mustache were embossed with the TE Snowfall embossing folder. The mitten band from the Mitten Garland die set was used for the beard background and face and the hat band and hat were hand cut from felt. Washi tape was used along the bottom and the sentiment is from the TE set called Wings of Joy and the button, black rhinestones for the eyes, and twine finish it off.

I made a few changes for the ornament....instead of the Mitten Garland band for the beard base, I used the round scalloped part of the TE Tin Topper die. The beard and mustache were all embossed with the TE Twirls ans Swirls embossing folder. The face and the red felt part of the hat were hand cut but this time I used the hat band die from the TE Sack It - Leprechaun with Sugar Cube card stock....had to cut it down just a bit to fit.

The button and rhinestones for the eyes are the finishing details.

Thanks for stopping by....Have a great day!!!!
