We have had so much going on that updating the blog has been pushed to the back burner. At the end of this lovely 5 day weekend I am finally getting around to updating the details of the last few weeks of our lives...enjoy!
The first week of November we had a fun visit from Scott's sister (Ashley) and our niece (Ava) who flew in from Houston to sit in at Mom and Dad's farewell. Wednesday afternoon Ashley, Ava, Mom and I enjoyed a fun afternoon shopping and chatting before meeting up with the rest of the crew for a lovely dinner at Trios in celebration of the November birthdays in the family...yeah, there are 4 of them. Unfortunately the North Carolinians couldn't be there to join in on the fun.
Sunday the 8th we had the chance to attend Mom and Dad's mission farewell. They both did a fabulous job and dazzled us with their sweet French skills. It was a sweet experience for them and I think it was touching to them to see the love and support of many family members and friends who were in attendance. After the meeting we all went over to their home for dinner which was delicous as usual.
Friday the 13th we headed up to Kaysville to celebrate the birthdays of my Dad (13th) and Patrick (14th). We all met up at Fiesta Guadalajara and followed dinner up with a trip to the Kaysville Theater to see Love Happens.
Sunday the 15th we were able to go to the setting apart of Mom & Dad. Once again it was a wondeful experience for us and we were so glad that we had the opportunity to attend. Cute Henry vocalized his desire to leave with Nana and Papa and I think we all were feeling the same way.
Mom & Dad spent a week in the MTC and then left the following Monday. Sunday the 22nd (the night before they left) we all got together to say our final goodbyes and do a video conference with the entire family.
Thanksgiving Day we worked around the house in the morning and then went up to Kaysville to spend the day with everyone on my side. All of the food was great and the company was even better. Scott and I crashed for about 2 1/2 hours after the meal with full stomachs and happy hearts.
Yesterday we had the chance to go into my mom's office to watch the BYU vs. Utah football game. Though there were undoubtedly some missed calls it was still a fun game to watch and the outcome was exactly what we expected with BYU coming up with the win. :)

HAHA!! Why does it look like I've gained 50 pounds in that Thanksgiving picture? I'm pretty sure that eating beforehand didn't fill me up THAT much.
Love all the pictures, including the one at the top of your blog. Nice job. What a fun...and fast...weekend! It was all a wonderful kickoff to the holidays!
