Ecclesiastes 7 (KJV)

1 A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's birth.

2 It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart.

3 Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sadness of the countenance (a person's face or facial expression.)
the heart is made better.

4 The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning; but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth (joy).

5 It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools.

8 Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.

9 Be not hasty (rapid) in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.

10 Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this.

11 Wisdom is good with an inheritance: and by it there is profit to them that see the sun.
12 For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.

13 Consider the work of God: for who can make that straight, which he hath made crooked?

14 In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity (misfortune) consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.

15 All things have I seen in the days of my vanity: there is a just man that perisheth in his righteousness, and there is a wicked man that prolongeth his life in his wickedness.

Wonder why sometimes, the "good" are taken away sooner?  God gives the ones who do evil time to repent....that is why some are still here on earth.  Stop questioning!  We all should be grateful for God's Mercy, Grace and Compassion on our souls!

Thank You God for giving me time before you redeemed me! :) ~ Karmen

20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

21 Also take no heed unto all words that are spoken; lest thou hear thy servant curse thee:
22 For oftentimes also thine own heart knoweth that thou thyself likewise hast cursed others.

Oh Wow!  God, again, knows us, smh ~ Karmen

25 I applied mine heart to know, and to search, and to seek out wisdom, and the reason of things, and to know the wickedness of folly, even of foolishness and madness:
26 And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares (traps) and nets, and her hands as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her.

29 Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions (plots).

Proverbs 14 (KJV)

1 Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.

2 He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the Lord: but he that is perverse (unreasonable) in his ways despiseth him.

3 In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.

5 A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.

6 A scorner (unworthy person, despicable) seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth.

7 Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.

8 The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.

9 Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.

11 The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.

12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

13 Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth (amusement) is heaviness.

14 The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.

15 The simple believeth every word: but the prudent (well-advised) man looketh well to his going.

16 A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.

18 The simple inherit folly: but the prudent (the well advised) are crowned with knowledge.

19 The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.

20 The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends.
21 He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.

22 Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good.

23 In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth (idle) only to penury (extreme poverty; destitution).

24 The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly.

25 A true witness (Christian) delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.

26 In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.
27 The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

29 He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.

30 A sound (healthy, rational, reasonable) heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.

31 He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth (disappoints) his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.

32 The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.

33 Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known.

34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach (disappointment) to any people.

35 The king's favour is toward a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame.
