God's church as described in the Holy Bible

Church defined by the Bible are the believers, not the building

2 Corinthians 6 (KJV)
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

So when someone tries to guilt you out for not coming to service, don't pay any attention to it. Fellowship with the believers is very important. Church can happen in your own home. Break bread with your brothers and in sisters in Christ beyond man made temples. For we are the temples of the living God.God dwells in us and walks with us every time and every where. ~ Karmen

Acts 17 (KJV)
24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

God is in Heaven. He does not dwell in church buildings. If you are baptized and are practicing holiness and righteousness, his Holy Spirit lives in you. ~ Karmen

1 Corinthians 3 (KJV)
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

1 Corinthians 12 (KJV)
12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 14 For the body is not one member, but many.

Ephesians 5 (KJV)
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

Acts 2 (KJV)
47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Acts 11 (KJV)
26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

Matthew 28 (KJV)
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Matthew 18 (KJV)
20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Acts 14 (KJV)
27 And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.
28 And there they abode long time with the disciples.

Can you gather a building? ~ Karmen

Colossians 1 (KJV)

18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence (supremacy).

28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

1 Timothy 3 (KJV)
15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

KJV vs NIV

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT TAKING AWAY AND ADDING FROM THE WORD OF GOD?

Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.

Deuteronomy 12:32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

Proverbs 30: 5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. 6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

NOTE: These are the verses that have been either removed to the footnotes section or are completely removed all together. There are many other discrepancies in the NIV including the removal of individual words such as Calvary, Lucifer, New Testament, and many others. The NIV is also gender neutral which is not what the original manuscripts were like. Gender neutral is something brought about by modern day Politically Correct persons. Now on to the discrepancies.

Let's begin with the verses that have been moved from the original text and put into the footnotes of the NIV. By putting a verse into the footnotes instead of where it should be, it leads credibility to the reader that the verse is not part of the original Bible. Now for the verses that have been completely removed from the Original.

Matthew 17:21 (KJV) Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
Matthew 17:21 (NIV) (No verse 21) 20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” [21] [a]

NIV leaves vs 21 out and uses it as a footnote only for (Some manuscripts you. But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting)

This is such a vital verse, why leave it out? In order to have this kind of faith Jesus says prayer and fasting can only bring it. The NIV leaves it in a footnote. When you try to memorize a verse, do you remember to include the footnotes. When you want to increase your faith do you pray and fast? Is it possible that we can perform miracles like Jesus did with the boy with a demonic spirit?

Mathew 18:11 (KJV) For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.

Matthew 18:11 (NIV) The Parable of the Lost Sheep

Matthew 18 (NIV)
10"See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.[a]
11 ?
12"What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off?
13And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off.
14In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost.

NIV footnotes only for vs11 Some manuscripts heaven. 11 The Son of Man came to save what was lost.

Matthew 23 (KJV)

14 (Seven Woes) Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretense make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
Matthew 23 (NIV)
[14] [b] ?

Do you see anything wrong with the translation?

(KJV) Ephesians 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

(NIV) Ephesians 5:19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord,

(KJV) Colossians 4:5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

(NIV) Colossians 4:5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.
6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

(NIV) Matthew 23
8 “But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers.
9 And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven.
10 Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah.

(KJV) Matthew 23
8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. 9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. 10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

Baptism, Twice? What Does The Bible Say About This?

Baptizing a Disciple of Christ again, why?

After a Disciple of Christ (Baptized with the Holy Spirit) leaves the church, where is it in the Bible where they have to be baptized again to be a part of the church?

Ephesians 4 (KJV)
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

ONE BAPTISM....ONCE YOU ARE BAPTIZED (Paul is speaking to adults and you are held accountable for your sins as an adult) YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN FOR LIFE....(Unless you sell your soul) ~ Karmen

Galatians 6 (KJV)
1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness (gentleness); considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. 4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5 For every man shall bear his own burden.

Hebrews 6 (KJV)
4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Humbling....Thank You God for your continued grace, mercy and compassion ~ Karmen

10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. 11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

The scriptures say when you baptize a Disciple of Christ again, you are crucifyig Jesus again.  Sin is sin, so why do we measure each others sin? God doesn't.  ~ Karmen

Revelation 22 (KJV)
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Be careful not to add to or take away from the Bible. It is forbidden and this is why we have denominations in the Christian faith. ~ Karmen

Ecclesiastes 12 (KJV)
11 The words of the wise are as goads (a spiked stick used for driving cattle.), and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.
12 And further, by these, my son, be admonished (warn or reprimand someone firmly.): of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.

James 5 (KJV)
19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;
20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

Just exposing how churches are denominated without even knowing it.  It's not biblical, in fact Paul talks about how re-baptizing is like crucifying Jesus all over again.

Why do we not challenge or questions those in authority?  ~ Karmen
