Micah 7 (KJV)
2 The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.
5 Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.
6 For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.
7 Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.
8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.
18 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity (wickedness), and passeth by the transgression (an act that goes against a law, rule, or code of conduct; an offense.) of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.
19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities (wickednesses); and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
20 Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old..

Psalm 27 (KJV)
3 Though an host (flock) should encamp (judge, mediate) against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
4 One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire (study) in his temple.
11 Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.
14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

Isaiah 30 (KJV)
1 Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:
2 That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!
8 Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever:
9 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the Lord:
10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:
12 Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness (willfully determined or disposed to go counter to what is expected or desired), and stay thereon:
13 Therefore this iniquity (wickedness) shall be to you as a breach (gap) ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant.
15 For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.
17 One thousand shall flee at the rebuke (strong correction) of one; at the rebuke of five shall ye flee: till ye be left as a beacon (watchtower, lighthouse, smoke signal) upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign (symbol) on an hill.
18 And therefore will the Lord wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted lifted high), that he may have mercy upon you: for the Lord is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.

Philippians 1 (KJV)
6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;
10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.
11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

Psalm 118 (KJV)
5 I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.
6 The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
8 It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
14 The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.
17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the Lord:
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the Lord:
20 This gate of the Lord, into which the righteous shall enter.

2 Corinthians 5 (KJV)
6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest (evident) unto God; and I trust also are made manifest (evident) in your consciences.
15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth (go on to) live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
16 Wherefore henceforth (go on to) know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth (go on to) know we him no more.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech (plead of, beg of) you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead {the place or role that someone or something should have or fill (used in referring to a substitute).}, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
