And With That

To round off the year, here are the months of October and November for my Temperature Quilt.

December is looking very red with heatwave temps. Stay safe if impacted by storms and enjoy your New Years' Eve be it out celebrating or like me, the celebrations will be behind closed eyelids.

A Little Christmas

It's always nice to have some handmade projects on display at Christmas.

Santa wall hanging is one of my very first projects and the larger wall hanging a more recent finish. The hand towels were whipped up the week before.

In Need of Motivation

As is blatantly obvious, I have been M.I.A. in the sewing room and blogland...it's been hard to get motivated.

So I'm "shaking it off" and joining with Chooky and Deana to hopefully get motivated for 2024. You can read more about it by clicking on the icon on my left sidebar.

This is my list of 10

1.  Wedding Quilt - Quilt and Bind

2.  Corner 2 Corner Crochet Rug

3.  Happy Houses Wall Hanger

4.  Strips and Curves

5.  2023 Temperature Quilt

6.  Fish Pond Quilt

7.  Calendar Quilt

8.  King Bed Quilt

9.  Crochet Rug

10. Birthday Cards

I will add photos each month as I dig the projects out ... some are buried deep :)

Whatever the Weather

Plugging away each month to keep my Temperature Quilt up to date. January to June 2023

Now I have July, August, September completed.

This next quilt top was a "spur of the moment" so to speak. I lovely gentleman gifted a few boxes of his wife's quilting "stuff" to our little group, as she was no longer able to be sewing. After sorting all the fabrics, my best friend and I decided to make 'Scrappy' Quilts using the smaller scraps. Now there are 5 of us making 'Scrappy'. I just need to put a white 2" border and my top is complete.

Maybe I'll go and make a start on the month of October for the Temperature Quilt.

Catching Up

I'm not a morning person so I was late getting to the Chookshed Zoom last Sunday. However it is always lovely to sit, sew, chat and enjoy the virtual company of such lovely ladies.

I was working on the month of June for my Temperature Quilt (Little Desert Quilts design). Then yesterday joined the last seam to have the completed Jan-June ... amazing how the colours change as the colder days arrive ... absolutely lovely this project.

You wouldn't believe how hard it is for me to find photographic evidence of finishes ... my head really has NOT been in the crafting game for a while now.  This was the 2nd Yin Yang bag I made.

Also can't believe I never shared the finished 'Churn Dash' top. Made completely from scraps in my stash and I'm very pleased with how they all worked together.

I'm sure there's just a couple more finishes somewhere so I will keep digging.

Oh My Stars!

 Oh my stars!!!

I had no idea it had been this long since I blogged. No reason ... it just has happened.

I can't blame my mojo for running away because clearly I haven't been taking very good care of it. I hope it will forgive me as I rebuild our relationship.

Oh this is so so true, I have been at the sewing maching, knitting needles and crochet hook but alas
I did manage to finish 2 of these reversible Yin-Yang bags ... I'll have to go hunting in my phone photo gallery of a few things I've been up to.

Time to refocus on my blogging and dear blogging friends.

Today I Sew

The saying goes that whatever you do on New Years Day ... you do all year.

So I sewed.

This is my Churn Dash with Chookyblue ... half joined and the strips all completed on the other half ready for assembly.  All fabrics from my stash and scraps.

Hubby and I had some cattle work to do first thing this morning.  Already the day was warming up and what better way to cool down when you're a working dog?  Jump in the trough.

Ended the last year with some cattle work too.  These 2 boys came to check out what we were up to.

Planning on getting my Churn Dash top completed tomorrow ... fingers crossed.

I have no idea why blogger isn't centering my pictures!

2023 ... What Will You Bring?

May your bobbin's be full and your needles always be threaded.
