We Got Away on the Mexican Riviera Cruise

At L.A. airport gathering together as group (around 34 of us).
Bus ride to the boat.
I'm still hoping that I have a great time - we got two hours of sleep the night before!
Here we are leaving L.A.
I find the ice-cream cones right away!
Life Jacket drill for the whole ship.

Paul finds the chess board - cool, big pieces!
Beautiful sunsets - unfortunately I was never up in time for sunrise.
Sharon and DeAnn laying out - can you find yourself?
We find the kids' rooms, shuffle board and the art gallery.

Walking laps around the ship with Dave and Cindy
Do You Wanna Dance Show
Fiesta Party night with food (chocolate covered strawberries, my favorite)

Kelley, Ryan, Paul and I at the SkyWalker Lounge dancing the night away!(picture is fuzzy)
Ryan and Paul ride the bull.

Getting schooled on the ins and outs

 Paul is coming in.
Everyone survived and felt safe (it was a blast).

I recorded this ride!

 Los  Veranos Canopy Tour Zipline
We had a blast!
 Sharon and DeAnn
Kelly and Ryan

Feeding the monkeys banana yogurt and powder baby formula

Authentic Mexican lunch at the Margarita Grill in Puerto Vallarta with the whole group
Delicious Virgin  Piña Colada
Homemade Salsa made table side (now I want a mortar and pestle)

Life boats (I feel a little safer)
Dinner at the International Dining Room (every night)
With John, Jeni, Tami, Greg
El Arco de Cabos San Lucas

Guys playing flag football on Lover's Beach in Cabo
Paul snorkels and sees thousands of fish

I parasail with Andrea, Tami, Greg, Becca, and Rich
It was a thrill!

My hat from Cabo (I need one now that I live in the country)

I attended a fun little culinary show with the Head Chef and Maître d’ and tour of Galley 7

The food was delicious and endless.
I loved the Love Boat dessert.
Excellent Service

Paul pulled out a few magic tricks.
We indulged in rich hot chocolate during breakfast.

We missed this fruit and vegetable carving.

We enjoyed sushi with the Elite Cruisers and I pulled a good prank on Dave.
"Sir, may I see your i.d.?"

We had a detour stop to Ensenada because of the recent violence in Mazatlan.
We found the kids some marionettes and Mexican toys.
Paul bought the rainstick he has always wanted.

Sorry the chess set won't fit on the airplane!
Brady tries on the Nacho mask.

 Paul's checking out the boots.
We head back to the ship.
 The fun is winding down.
Bus ride, check through customs, good bye Sapphire Princess.

We had a great time with everyone and made some new friends!
I am looking forward to the next cruise, anyone care to join us?

I'm in for the next cruise! Especially if we get to see Paul do some slick moves on the dance floor. Looks like a great time!

Looks like you had a blast! Loved the pictures. And I was thinking about you and the stop in Mazatlan...glad they canceled that. Are you still rocking side to side?? :)

I think today is the first day that I actually feel more balanced. Yesterday during Pilates class I thought I was going to lose it. My head was spinning out of control!

Love all the pictures. Glad you finally got to go. I think cruising is the best vacation. Everything is done for you and all you have to do is sit back and relax! Love it!

What a great post! Totally love that you go after ice cream cones (since I do that too!).

Did you enjoy the parasailing? I absolutely loved it when I did it and would love to go for it again.

Glad that you were safe on the trip. I took all my trips to Mexico when it was a bit safer, but I was primarily in Guadalajara and didn't get to go on a cruise. )-: Now I can't go (or shouldn't) since we get these emails at work saying "stay away from Mexico."

But, looks like you had a lot of fun and hope it was a great trip!

Looks like a real vacation. I've never seen that side of Paul before. We could put some music on next time you are over and see what happens.
