Slept right through it.
Must have had a heck of a storm Sunday night. This is what greeted us Monday morning.
Hubby is worried that losing two branches like that, so close together, means that he may have to cut the tree down. None of the trees we've planted in the last 6 years are old enough to replace it, but we wouldn't want a branch to come down on our heads while mowing or picking pecans.
And we're still cleaning up branches from the ice storm.
In other news, the red clover is blooming.
Can anyone give me a use for these weeds, other than poking you?
I guess if you were really talented, you could use the spines for a fish hook...
Got to make an unexpected trip to North Carolina, possibly this weekend; so if you don't hear from me for a while, that's why.
Hope you're all having a wonderful, warming up! week. ♥

So not a lot going on
A few pictures to share.
Some sort of wild peas, I think. Not sure about the yellow ones.
Hope you all have a wonderful week!

I mowed a lot of green today, does that count?
We did a little mowing, but it was really too windy and cold to do more.
Hope you all have a wonderful, safe week. ♥

Wet Saturday
Did a lot of driving around yesterday, researching family history graveyards and such.
No pictures of that stuff. We just took pictures of any headstone with hubby's last name.
I do have some other pictures though..
The pear tree is blooming. As you can see, they are quite a way above my head, haha. I held my cell phone at arm's length to take these pictures.

There are a lot of wildflowers whose names I don't know. These yellow flowers like to associate with clover. They aren't clover though because this is clover. They could be a wild clover though, maybe.
And there are the little wild violets, I think?
I know I've showed these before, but I like taking their pictures.
There are also tiny little blue and white, and yellow, and white flowers. Teeny tiny flowers that we don't really notice if we aren't walking slowly. :-)
And of course, we can't forget the ubiquitous Dandelion. ;-)
We have a lot of rain right now. The grass is starting to take over. We'll need to start mowing more regularly now.
When it's not raining, anyway.
Now that the leaves have died, we can see that the corner oak lost two branches during that ice storm we had. This, I believe, is one of the two branches that broke during that storm.
The other branch looks like it didn't break completely. A smaller branch is holding the larger one in another branch of the tree. I'll have to take a 'real' camera to get you a picture of the branch. It is going to be a problem to get down without it falling on our heads.
Oh well. That's for another day. :-)
Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!

Another from the Louisiana Farm Bureau
No matter what you raise, actually. Whether it be cattle, chickens, goats, pigs; anything. The land itself, really, right?
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Come on, spring!
