I know this might sound odd, but today I am really thankful for my cancer journey. I have learned so many wonderful lessons that I hope my Father in Heaven helps me to never forget. I have also made many new friends along the way. But the main reason I am so thankful for my journey today, is that I have been able to share my experience with a very dear friend who at this moment is at the hospital having her own double mastectomy. :(
(I hope you don't mind that I used this picture from your blog, Jenn.)
I would never wish this terrible cancer journey on anyone. It's tough.
It sucks and I really hate that I have to watch her go through similar experiences.
But she has a strong spirit. She is amazing and she, too, will find herself thinking one day..."Did I really do that? Did that really happen to me?" Because that's what I find myself thinking almost every day.
So to my dear friend, Jenn...I love you and I hope that everything goes well today.
CANCER SHMANCER! :)
We are SO much tougher than a little cancer.
(I have a link to Jenn's blog under my SURVIVOR SISTERS section on the right hand side of my blog if you want to check it out.)
You traveled that journey so well, I am not so sure I would or could as well as you did and countinue to do. I agree that cancer sucks, it is just one word that was not in this mother's vocabulary for one of her children!!
