Turkey Day

Thanksgiving for us was fantastic this year.
I was feeling pretty good and everyone else was healthy so we all filled our bellies with Thanksgiving yumminess.
Here is a picture of something that I found on Pinterest.
It is our Thankful Tree.

Here are some of the things we had on our thankful tree...

Mark:
"Beautiful, supportive wife" (I like that one.) "Friends & family who have served us."
Des: "Side effect medications", "chocolate" and "The gospel of Jesus Christ"
Josh: "Every molecule in my body", "Chinese food (especially pot stickers)"
Emma: "The world, food and water" & "missionaries to teach us"
Abbie: "I'm thankful for my family and me!" & "I'm thankful for my school and the church and the Bishop."
Ellie: "the Bishop" & "chemo to kill cancer"

We celebrated Thanksgiving at Mark's parents house this year. I have to mention one other thing that I am so thankful for~ amazing in-laws.
I don't know how I lucked out to have such a wonderful in-law family. We have so much fun together and really love being together. I love it.

My parents also came up this year because for the first time, they had an empty house! Kind of weird. It was really fun to have them here. They ate dinner at my grandparents house, but they stayed at ours so we had fun visiting, shopping, playing, and going to a movie.
I am so thankful to have been blessed with amazing parents as well. They are so supportive of me and Mark. I have such great childhood memories and that is because of them.
I know I have already said many times how much I am thankful for my wonderful husband, but I will say it again. I am such a lucky gal.

I hope you all had wonderful Thanksgivings and were able to take time to reflect on the things that you are grateful for.

Now I have to get geared up for the next phase of my battle.
I start my next chemo med on Wednesday and will find out the results of my PET scan. This med will be given every 3 weeks. It will be nice to have an extra week in between, but I almost wish that it could be every 2 weeks just to get it over with. I will keep you posted!

One more thing before I sign off-
I can't leave before expressing my gratitude to all of you who read this blog and who have been so supportive through this battle. I couldn't do it without you. I love to read your comments. It really boosts my spirit and gives me the strength to forge ahead. I will never be able to thank you enough.
