I like the CAS challenges on SCS because I can get a card done quickly! The challenge today was: One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. So I used Angie the Angelfish from Paper Makeup Stamps and an old CAS sketch to make this.
I colored the image with various red and blue copic markers and added some star dust stickles to it. The dp is PTI's Bitty Dot Basics paired with brilliant blue. I think the ribbon is American Crafts. That's it! Cute and simple, but I'm not happy with the way my pictures have been coming out. The colors have been off and I'm no photographer!
Thanks again for stopping by!

Artful INKables Think Ink Tuesday Challenge - CAS
This week's challenge at the Artful INKables blog was issued by the fabulous Emily and she has asked us to do a CAS card - Clean and Simple. Well, I have a real hard time with this type of card because all I want to keep doing is to ADD ONE MORE THING!!! LOL!! This is a CAS for me, so I hope it counts!
I started with this newer set from Artful INKables called Creature Comforts. These are two otters that are entwined to form the shape of a heart, so I cut and embossed them with one, colored them with copic markers, and sponged the edges with red ink. I just picked up this Martha Stewart heart border punch from Michael's last week and was so happy to have finally found it without having to pay an arm and a leg for it on Ebay! So I had to use it! I also embossed the white piece with the Swiss Dots folder. (Too much for a CAS? I told you I couldn't help myself!) There is a cute stamp that comes with this set that says "I love you like no otter", but it didn't fit on my card, so I'll stamp that on the inside. This "Happy Valentine's Day' stamp is part of the set, and it worked with my layout. I, of course, had to add the bling hearts and star dust stickles because sparkle is my addiction on cards! I think I need to join a help group.
I hope you are safe and warm today. It's been very windy and the weather treacherous here in Buffalo. I am writing this on Wednesday night to post on Thursday, and we are supposed to have some really bad weather tomorrow. I'm hoping I'm home on a snow day! Wish me luck!

CAS Challenge
My friend and fellow PMS DT member, Kim, plays in these CAS (clean and simple) challenges on SCS all the time and I thought I'd give it a go this week. I have a hard time with keeping things simple, so it definitely was a challenge for me! This CAS challenge involved paper piecing, which I LOVE to do, so I paper pieced this entire elephant from PMS called Enamored Elephant. I thought a pink elephant was appropriate! The dp is SU's Sweet Always and I colored his ears with R32 copic marker and his toes, paws and other shading was done with the W-copic markers. I layered him on an oval scalloped nestie which was sponged pretty in pink ink while still in the die. The same was done for the sentiment (this elephant and sentiment are a set, btw!). I ran the pretty in pink panel through the heart folder and added the white satin ribbon. I was going to make a bow, but decided that would be too much for a CAS card, so I just wrapped the panel in the ribbon. Simple card...only 15 minutes to put together!
Thanks for looking today and if you haven't seen the Weiman Wranglers charity digi set offerred up by Pink Cat Studio, please go to this post. It's being sold for a great cause, and almost $1,300 has been raised so far for the Make a Wish foundation! This stamping community is so awesome! Please stop by again real soon!
