Good morning! We had a really fun and creative weekend - fireworks at the park, a BBQ at Grandma's house, my 11-year-old made little American flag treats from white chocolates, sprinkles, and pretzels, and my 2 youngest were breaking out their Crayola airbrush system, making all sorts of things with stencils. That, right there, made me want to get in the craft room and get messy with my stencils!
I saw the latest sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, and really loved it - but I changed the layout from vertical to horizontal so I could fit my sentiment on the banner. I'm a cheater. Yep. I made the background using white embossing paste with the Graduated Dots stencil from My Favorite Things. Once that was dry, I added all the shape elements along with the birthday sentiment on the white fishtail banner. I cut out the "happy" from the Happy Birthday Die-namics in Red Hot card stock and then used my Versamark ink pad to add some clear embossing powder to the whole die cut. I heat embossed it and then while it was still hot, added another layer of powder, then heat set it again. It is really glossy! I added some green sequins around all the elements for a little something extra too.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
