Jessica's Surprise Birthday Blog Hop

Hello there!  Today is a very fun day and I am part of a very special birthday blog hop for Jessica Knutsen - she's the fabulous gal that started up There She Goes Clear Stamps.  I am honored to have been part of her talented design team and now I'm excited to be part of this birthday hop!

For my card today, I used BombDiggity stamps and the layout from Deconstructed Sketch 101.

I stamped the bomb in Black Licorice ink and the hand cut it out to pop up over the little explosion.  I cut out 3 fishtail flags and stamped the sentiment on some 21/Seven paper from Simple Stories.

On the inside of the card, I used a sentiment from A Little Treat and then added my zigzag stitching around the edges.

Happy, happy, happy birthday, Sweet Jessica!  I hope you are blessed beyond measure this year and are filled with joy.  I'm so happy to have met you through this crazy little hobby!!

recipe -
stamps: bombdiggity (tsg), a little treat (tsg)
paper: electric red (mft), black licorice (mft), smooth white (mft), 24/seven 6x6 (simple stories)
ink: black licorice (mft), orange fizz (mft)
accessories: circle stax die-namics (mft), award seal die-namics (mft), fishtail flags stax die-namics (mft), sewing machine, thread, foam tape

TSG158 | Cork It!

Hello!  It's my turn to host the weekly challenge over at There She Goes and this week I've decided to Cork It!  I'm challenging you to make a card or project using cork - any kind of cork: cork board, wine bottle cork, cork paper (check out the Note to Self papers from Echo Park!), cork letters, and now I feel like I'm in Forest Gump.  Anyway...  here's the deal - once you've made your card or project, hop on over to the TSG Blog and link up your post on gallery photo with the Inlinkz button there and you'll be entered in a prize drawing!

For my card, I'm using Cute as a Button, a new set just released this weekend!

I started with a 4.25" card base and used this sketch from Got Sketch.  Since chevron stripes are super trendy right now, I thought I'd make some chevrons from cork and go from there.  I picked up a couple sheets of thin cork board at Michaels and ran a piece through the Vagabond with the Chevron Stripes Die-namics from MFT.   The patterned papers are Farmhouse 8x8 from October Afternoon and I used some scraps to make the little flower, complete with button center.  I loved working with cork and I hope you'll join in on the fun!  What a fun way to add texture to your card, eh?

Thanks so much for stopping by -

recipe -
stamp: cute as a button (tsg)
paper: wild cherry (mft), old olive (su!), choice buttercream (te), farmhouse 8x8 (october afternoon)
ink: memento tuxedo black
accessories: cork sheet, neutrals buttons (su!), cappuccino twine (mft), mix & match banners die-namics (mft), first place award ribbon die-namics (mft), beautiful blooms 2 set 1 (pti), chevron stripes die-namics (mft), sewing machine, thread, foam tape

There She Goes Sneak Peeks | Day THREE

Good Morning!!  It's day three of sneak peeks for the June release of There She Goes Clear Stamps!!  The Trendsetters have amazing cards and projects for you this week, so be sure to hop around and check them out.

What can we say about this new set from Torico, other than…it’s Cute As a Button?! The perfect sewing set for ANY crafter, full from top to bottom, end to end, with as MANY stamps as you could POSSIBLY need to make the perfect card or scrapbook page, this whimsically cute set is sure to have EVERYTHING you need to celebrate the crafter in your life!

Cute As a Button is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 33 stamps and will sell for $24.00.

Sew what's new with you??  Hehe!  I love this new set and I know you will too - especially all of you who sew, and I mean those of you who actually sew on fabric and make amazing things.  Ok, it's good for all of us who only sew on paper too *wink*

I did a little paper piecing with this one today - I stamped the image on both kraft cardstock and a scrap of Indie Chic Ginger paper and cut out part of the sewing machine to glue to the kraft cardstock.  I added some Copic coloring to highlight parts of the machine and then cut it out with a circle Spellbinders die.  The layout is Clean & Simple Stamping FTL190 and I added a few Rose Pearls for a fun accent.

Would you like to win the new Cute As a Button stamp set?  Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post.

There She Goes Sneak Peeks | Day TWO

Good Morning!!  It's day two of sneak peeks for the June release of There She Goes Clear Stamps!!  The Trendsetters have amazing cards and projects for you this week, so be sure to hop around and check them out.

Excuse me, I MUSTACHE you a question….is this NOT the CUTEST set?! Mustache’s, and puns about mustaches (lol), are all the rage right now and we couldn’t help but add a little TSG flare to this FABULOUS trend! The possibilities, and uses, for this set are endless…and just ENTIRELY too funny!

Flava Sava is a 4x4 set that includes a total of 14 stamps and will sell for $10.00.

I tried to channel my inner Debby for this card - I just adore her CAS style and I am always so tempted to add layers and ribbon and bling, and more layers to my cards.  I hope I did it justice!  haha!  The layout is CPS265 and the papers are On the Bright Side Two 6x6 from My Mind's Eye.  Since the 'Stache is a more solid image, I stamped it in Brilliance Graphite Black and the sentiment is a partial sentiment that I masked off so I could use the mustache image instead.  The card size is 6-1/2" x 3-1/4".

Would you like to win the new Flava Sava stamp set? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post.

Melyssa is at it again, and just in time for all your graduation needs! This stamp set is PERFECT for ANY grad, young or old!! There is NO better way than to honor your favorite grad with a card, or scrapbook page, honoring their achievements!

ConGRADulations is a 4x6 set that includes a total of 17 stamps and will sell for $15.00.

It is graduation season around here (as it is everywhere) and my youngest just had her preschool graduation this past Friday.  There isn't anything cuter than 5-year-olds dressed up in construction paper caps and yarn tassels.  So precious!  I made this card for her.

I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copic Markers.  I think I'm finally getting the hang of coloring grass - yippee!  The layout is MOJO241 and the papers are new in my house - On the Sunny Side 6x6 from My Mind's Eye.  LOVE this one.  What a sweet little girl, don't you think?

I will be announcing the next Guest Sweet Sunday Stamper later this week, so be sure to check back to see if you will be joining the design team for SSSC158!

Good morning!  I've been itching to get my Every Child stamps inky again for a while and I grabbed some brand new Indie Chic Citron 6x6 papers from My Mind's Eye to inspire me.  I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored her with Copic Markers - I also added some shine to the paint with my glaze pen.  The sentiment is stamped directly on the patterned paper, so I hope you can read it through that crazy design.  It's one of those 'added it at the last minute' ideas that I'm not so sure worked as well as I thought it would.  Haha!  I added some stitching around the edges of the layers and some yummy kraft ribbon with a bow instead of a flower from the sketch.

The Sweet Sunday Stampers have amazing sketch samples to show you today, so stop on by to see:
